The Great Recession
The Recession lasted from late 2007 to June of 2009 with the worst hit impacting in the fall of 2008. It was a financial crisis due to over lending on mortgages to people who should not have qualified. Because of the excitement of easy loans demand spiked. As more people failed to pay banks failed beginning a downward spiral to the rest of the world. America had not economically suffered this badly since the great depression.

Covid-19
The first known case was reported in China in December of 2019. The cases soon spiked sending the world into a large scale panic. The world went into quarantine and schools shut down and went online. Many people started to "doomsday prep" resulting in the supply of many goods in almost every store in the U.S. to go into major back order. From 2019 to current day there have been 767,364,883 cases and 6,938,353 deaths.
