God shows that he will provide a way, even in tough times. For that to happen we must show a lot of trust in him, even when it means to sacrifice your only son. On the way, Abraham assures Isaac that the Lord will provide a lamb for sacrifice. He knew that the Lord wanted him to sacrifice his son and he was willing to do it because he knew that the Lord will provide. -

In Genesis 28:10, Jacob had a vision that a ladder was set up, reaching to heaven. God stood above the ladder, confirming his covenant with Jacob's ancestors. Jacob knew that the place he was at is none other than the house of God and named it Bethel, the house of God. The ladder symbolises as Jesus, combining heaven and earth together (his death). He says that the heavens will open up with angels of God ascending and descending upon the Son of Man. -

In John 1:49-51, Nathanael says that Jesus is the Son of God, the King of Israel. Jesus replies that the heavens will open and the angels of God will ascend and descend upon the Son of Man. This action will happen when Jesus leaves heaven to return to earth. John 12:31-33 states that in order for that to happen, Jesus must first glorify God by dying on the cross to draw all to himself. -

In Genesis 32-33, Jacob wrestles with a man and asks for blessing. His name changed to Israel for he wrestled with God and man and overcame. He meets up with Esau after being afraid that he may still hold a grudge upon him. In middle school,I always felt like people are holding grudges against me even after a long time. I pray to God hoping that whatever I have done before is forgotten/forgiven. I struggle with reconciliation as I always feel like there's something wrong even though there isn't.

In Genesis 12, God promises that Abraham will have a great nation and a great name. God says that descendants of Ishmael and Isaac will be in constant conflict. The article says that different beliefs are killing one another. We shouldn’t underestimate the power of God. Anything that he had predicted in the past, will happen.
