After buying it from the Proles, Winston start keeping a journal filled wth his personal thoughts. If Winston were to be caught, he would most likely be tortured and vaporized.

After seeing the woman for a long time Wiston passes her during his work. As they pass each other the woman falls over and quickly slips a piece of paper in Winton's pocket. After Winston gets home he takes the piece of paper out of his pocket and reads it. On the pice of paper, the words "I love you" are written.

After Winston meets the woman in a busy street he discover that her name is Julia. After they meet for the first time Winston chooses to rent a room outside of London for them to stay in.

Mr.O'brien tells winston that he wants to show winston his copy of the 10th Edition Newspeek Dictionary. Winston understand's tht this is an excuse for O'brien to talk to him in private. Once Winson reaches O'briens house, O'brien turns off the telescreen, which is something Winston has never een anybody do before. Obrien tells Wnton and Julia that he is apart of the Brotherhood against The Party. O'brien initiates the two and gives them a copy of The Book.

Soon after Winston reads the book he is captured by the Thought Police. Apperantly, Mr.Cherington and Mr.O'brien were both secret agents for the Thought Police. Winston is immediatel taken to the Ministry of Love.

Twelve days later Winston wakes up in a prison cell in the Ministry of Love. He stays in the cell for a very long time.

After screaming out Julia's name while he was being torutured, Winston is taken to Room 101. Room 101 is the room where prisoners are tortured by their biggest fear.

After being torutured by rats, Winston's largest physcial fear, Winston gives in and say that he no longer loves Julia and that he wants her to be tortured instead. This is Winston's largest mental fear.

After Winston is relesed from the Ministry of Love, Winston continues his life like nothing ever happened. He sees Julia in the streets one day but he thinks nothig of it and goes to a bar, The Chestnut Tree, to have a drink. The book finshes with Winston saying that he loves Big Brother
