Macbeth and Banquo visit the Weiird Sisters, who tell him that he will be future king, and address him as: Thane of Cawdor.

Macbeth formulates a plan to murder the current king, Duncan. Duncan is then invited to Macbeths castle.

As the evening goes on, Macbeth begins to rethink his plan to murder Duncan. Lady Macbeth insults his ability to carry out the murder, which convinces him to continue.

Duncan names his son Malcolm as the heir to the throne, which will make it more difficult for macbeth to become king.

While Macbeth is waiting for Duncan to fall asleep, Macbeth talks with Banquo, who warns Macbeth about taking the 3 witches seriously.

Later, once Macbeth is alone, he begins to hallucinate. He aimagines seeing a bloody dagger floating in the air.

As midnight arrives, Lady Macbeth has already drugged Duncan's guards, so Macbeth carries out the bloody murder, but Lady Macbeth has to return to the scene of the crime, so it would look as if the guards killed Duncan.

In the morning, the kingdom has awakened to their king murdered. And Macbeth acts outraged, and he kills Duncan's guards.

Duncan's sons Malcolm and Donalbain flee to Scotland, fearing for their lives, after their father's murder.

Macbeth invites Banquo to a banquet at his castle. But finds out that Banquo is planning a trip out of town. Macbeth gets any information about what time he is leaving and coming back and what way he is traveling.

Macbeth hires murderers to kill Banquo and his son while they are away from the castle.

The plan goes wrong when only Banquo is killed but his son, Fleance escapes.

During the banquet, Macbeth sees the ghost of Banquo, which makes him feel guilty of having him murdered.

Outside the castle, Lennox is discussing Duncan and Banquo's murders, and he is getting help from King Edward to defeat Macbeth.

Macbeth goes back to the Weiird Sisters And they awake spirits to answer his questions.

The first apparition tells Macbeth to be aware of Macduff.

The Second Apparition tells MAcbeth to fear no one born to a woman.

The Third Apparition tells Macbeth that he wont be defeated until the Birnam Woods come to Dunsinane Castle.

Macbeth decides to kill Macduff's family because he is afraid of him.

After Mcduff hears about his family, he begins to plan the defeat of Macbeth.

Macduff gathers an army and they camouflage themselves in Birnam woods. During battle, Macbeth decides to fight along with his soldiers because he believes he wont be killed. Macduff and Macbeth battle and Macbeth is killed. Macbeth can be killed by Macduff because Macduff was born unnaturally.
