The Magna Carta is considered the founding document of English liberties, and it can be seen in the U.S constitution and Bill of rights. It was the document that limited the power of the King of England.

If the Mayflower never came we would not have the freedom of practicing our own religion, we would have to practice the religion that the government chose for us.

The Petition of Rights declared that even the King must obey the laws, without this petition leaders would be able to do practically anything.

No navigation act means no American Revolution which would result in less freedom from Britain. We may still be under British authority!

The English Bill of Rights was one of the first steps toward Free Speech. Although speech wasn’t completely free the English Bill of Rights helped Parliament go against the King’s orders if necessary.

Without the Stamp act we wouldn’t have the power to send people to congress in order to vote for needed taxes.

The Coercive Act led to the American Revolution freeing the United States from Britain. So without these acts the revolution could have possibly never occurred.

When the plea to the King to reconsider the coercive acts didn’t work, the group of delegates asked each state to create its own militia.

The First Shots at Lexington and Concord is an important event in United States history as it was the very beginning, there would be no America and that means we would still be under British rule.

As a result of the second continental congress, the colonies were able to become free from Britain and would soon be led into their own free state!

Without the Declaration, we wouldn’t be independent! We wouldn’t have our own government. We would not have all the rights we do now. We would have to live under the King.
