    Herbert Hoover won the election my a huge margin. He was later blamed for the Great Depression.
  • Dust Bowl

    Dust Bowl
    After a severe drought in the great plains all the top soil was lifteds up and blanketed the skies. Many farmers fled beacuse of the harsh conditions. It laster from 1930-1939
  • RFC

    RFC
    Hoover created this so that farmers and industry's could get back on their feet. The government spent 2.2 billion to put back into the economy. This helped banks give out loans.
  • Bonus Army

    Bonus Army
    WW1 vets who were promised a bonus in the fourties. The vets came together and marched on washington setting uo camo in front of the White House to get their bonuses before the allotted time. Hoover got skittish and sent in the army. The General burnt down their village and attacked the vets.

    A priest who blamed the wealthy and the jews for the stock market crash. Once a strong supporter of FDR he immiedtly changed views after he was elected. He was one of the first political leaders to reach mass audiences. He wanted the government to take over the whole banking system.
