    Acts passed after the French and Indian war due to the debt. Raised the revenue in the colonies.

    Often speculated as to whether or not it was an actual massacre. British soldiers fired into a crowd of people in Boston. Increasing the tension between the colonies and Britain.

    A group of about 200 distresssed colonists disguised as Native Americans boarded tea carrying ships. The colonists dumped crates of tea into the harbor.

    Known as the father of the US Navy, John Paul Jones captures the British frigate "Serapis" after a 4 hour long battle that sunk his own ship.

    British commander Henry Clinton, gains command of Charleston, South Carolina. Also taking over 5,000 colonial prisoners in one of the biggest American defeats of the revolution.
