Japanese attack on Hawaii. This happened because Japan wanted to be the nation most pwoerful int he Pacific, and needed to destroy US ships, harbors,a nd airfields. This affected everoyne, because after this the US got involved into WWII. -

Was a meeting of superior Nazi officers in Berlin. This happened because they wanted cooperation with administrative people about the Jews. This affected the Jews because high officials agreed to let the Nazis continue their genocide. -

US surrender to Japanese forces, and were forced to march 65 miles to the prison camps. This happened because the US surrenedered and the Japanese looked down on those who surrendered. this affect the US because they saw how bad the Japanese could be. -

It was a decisive American Victory of the Japanese Fleet. This affected the pacific thetre because it was the first major American naval victory. -
Battle of Stalingrad
Was a major battle on the eastern warfront. It took over a year for the battle to be won by the Russians, which affected Germany because their advance had been halted. -
Warsaw Ghetto Uprising
Was the Jewish resistance against the Nazis. This happened because the Nazis wanted to move the rest of the Jews there to the camp, and in doing so made the Jews not want to go and the Nazis burned down the Ghetto. This affected the Jews because the Nazis were going to kill them, anyway they could. -
Operation Gomorrah
Was the allied bombing of Hamburg. This happened because the British had lost civilian casualties and now they started bombing German civilians. this affected Germany because their home towns and cities were starting to be bombed. -
Allied Invasion of Italy
This was an allied amphibious landing, and htis happened because the Allies were trying to drive the German and Italian troops out of Italy. This affected Germany mianly because once Italy was taken they could not fight on two fronts anymore. -
D-Day
It was the Allied invasion of Nazi held Normandy. This is because the Allie sneeded to advance into France and break through Hitler's Atlantic Wall. This affected the Europena Theatre because the Allies pushed through France. -
Operation Thunderclap
Was a canacelled Allied operation codenamed Thunderclap. It was going to be a massive attack on Berlin to affect many casualties. This affected no one becaus eht operation never was implemented. -
Battle of the Bulge
US and English paratrooper forces that were surrounded by Nazi forces, both infantry and armored. This happened because the Allies were looking for another way to get into Germany after Operation Market Garden, and it was a major German offensive. It was a major Allied victory that allowed us to cross into German borders. -

Was the first time US marines made attakcs on Japanese home islands. This happened because the US was trying to get islands iwht airfields close enough to the Japan mainland to bomb them. This affected the Pacific theatre because the US had started to invade Japanese territory. -

Was a US invasio of Japanese mainland islands. This happened because the US was trying to capture airfields close enough to mainlnad Japan to launch bombing raids. -
VE Day
Known as Victory in Europe Day. Marked the end of the war in the European thatre. This impacted everyone because it marked the end of Nazi Tyranny. -
Dropping of Atom Bombs
The United States dropped tow atomic bombs on two cities of Japan. Those cities being Hiroshima and Nagasaki. This happened because the United States did not want to have an invasion on the Japanese mainland, and have another D-Day. This affected the Japanese with lots of radiation posioning and it affected the US in the fact that we became the most powerful nation on the planet. -
VJ Day
It means Victory over Japan Day. this happened because it was the end of WWII. It impacted everyone, epsecially the US, because they were the most powerful nation after that.
