    On Sep 19, 1931 - Feb 27, 1932, Japan became increasingly crowded due to its limited size as a nation and its rapidly increasing population. Manchuria offered about 200,000 km of space which for the Japanese would be very accommodating for their people, plus the resources that they got would help them expand and that’s why it was important for Japan. Japanese had a very low opinion of the Chinese; a Japanese way of "Untermenschen" (lower than dogs).

    On September 15, 1935, the Nuremberg Laws were enacted on Jews but also Germans. This was mainly torture for Jews. The Jews weren't able to have their freedom of expression and if some German was to work for a Jew they would have to be over 45 years old. The Jews were German but when Jews had to show their culture they had to only show the Jew flag to show they were Jew and get treated differently but badly. Overall Jews were thought to be the reason for Germany's failure and treated badly.

    On October 3, 1935, Italy invaded Ethiopia. Italy wanted to boost their prestige by defeating Ethiopia and so attacked Ethiopia to do that. Also following Hitler's "rules" he was to attack and follow Hitler's plans on invading every country.     When falling to the Japanese, the city Nankin was to be destroyed ordered from the leader General Matsui. while this happened the government fled to Hankow. After capturing Nanking most of it was burned to destroy the Chinese spirit in it. "The Japanese tortured an estimated 150,000 male “war prisoners,” killed an additional 50,000 male civilians, and raped at least 20,000 girls of all ages, many were killed in the process. Later after the end of WWII, the general was found guilty of crimes.

    On September 1, 1939, after losing territory from WWI, Hitler attacked Poland as a way to regain territory and show his strength. To attack Poland Hitler sent planes to bomb Poland and take control of it.     On April 20, 1940, Jews were condemned to concentration camps. Jews were the reasons that Germans thought of their failure because of that they didn't give them rights and made those laws. Adding on to the Nuremberg Laws, concentration camps were opened and Jews were sent there to be held captive because they were blamed. During it about 6 million Jews died but still, now we have some that survived and talk to us about the Holocaust. It was liberated on 27 January 1946.

    On September 7, 1940, the battle of Britain occurred. The battle of Britain was when Germany tried conquering Britain by air and destroying their air force, too. Later on, Germany invaded them by land in an attempt to take them over. But of course, Britain was able to defend themselves and fight back.     On June,22,1941 Operation Barbarossa had failed by Germany. After WWI Germany had land taken away for what they had done and after attacking Poland and taking land they were to attack the Soviet Union and try scaring other nations and taking its land too. It was a two-front war and by the end even though Germany was strong they underestimated their opponent badly and still lost the war against the Soviet Union. This war was to be the war of the turning of WWII.

    On December 7, 1941, Pearl Harbor was attacked by Japan. When the US started making money off of selling weapons to the UK to boost their strength against the Axis Powers, Japan had decided to attack the US by air to stop them from sending weapons and making money. After that Japan had "awakened the beast" and had dragged the US into WWII with no choice after Japan bombing them. On the same day, the US had declared war on Japan.

    On February 19, 1942, as a result of the US, not trusting Japanese people, they imprisoned 110,000 Japanese people. This was called the Japanese internment. They thought that there were Japanese spies in America. For a start, they opened these camps to people who wanted to come but no one came. When no one came they forced everyone out of their houses and work so they would secure their privacy from Japan. They advertised the camp saying it was good but it wasn't and this was called propaganda.

    On June, 5,1942, the Battle of Midway began. The Battle of Midway was something for Japan to lure the US boats to destroy, and then take over the island of Midway. Midway was a strategic place and so if winning Japan would have used it to get more strategically and invade Hawaii, but of course, they didn't win.     After suffering many deaths in Britain by the Germans bombing, the US would turn the table around and here's how. During the day the US would send their bombers to bomb Germany and at night Britain would send over theirs. To make things worse, “the US began a more comprehensive bombing in the north of Germany”. After a time the US and Britain were running out of bombers and stopped due to those losses. After all this Germany had thought to admit defeat.

    On June 6th, 1944, D-Day was the successful attack by the Allied Forces on German troops. On this day, the UK, US, and Canada sent forces to 5 different beaches of France to attack from the south. The Soviet Union attacked from the West. After sending their people they started the attack. Hitler hid away when losing. This was the biggest loss in Germany and the last one. After it, Germany lost its missions failed and were the end of Germany’s campaign. Soon after he committed suicide.

    On August 6, 1945, an American B-29 bomber dropped one of the FIRST deployed Atomic Bombs over the Japanese city Hiroshima. The explosion wiped out 90 percent of the city which was about 80,000 people. Later on, the bomb wiped out thousands more giving them Leukemia which didn't have a cure at the time.     On August 9, 1945, after the bombing of Hiroshima, Nagasaki was bombed. The US deployed the second Atomic Bomb on Nagasaki creating lots of damage. The bomb exploded at 11:02 am, 1,650 feet above the city. Before deploying the bomb it was thought to be deployed on the eleventh. But since they were announced of bad weather they moved it to the ninth and deployed the bomb then. “The explosion was estimated to have killed 60,000-80,000 people bringing the unconditional surrender of Japan.”

    After Hitler and his mistress committed suicide, Karl Dönitz took over. He was to surrender all his troops straightly but was unwilling to support the Soviet Union. “So he transferred 1.8 million troops to Britain's zone of control.” “Alfred Jodl, Dönitz's chief of staff signed the unconditional surrender of Germany. Despite the efforts of German troops to escape to Czechoslovakia, Russian troops took 2 million German soldiers and prisoned them.” In Jodles part he was hanged.
