  • Rise of Fascism and Nazism

    It was Hilters idea the Germany was the Ultimate Power.
  • D-Day

    American and allied forces landed on the shores of Normandy France. They were met with heavy fire but with all of there work and effort, they became victorious. Many lives were lost that day.
  • Neutrality Act

    This act prohibited Americans to sell or transport amunition to aggressive or hostile countries. This resulted as an advantage to the America and its allies.
  • Germany’s expansion and annexation of Austria

    Austrian Nazis wanted to try to take over the Austrian Government. German troops were then sent to Austria forcing Austria to be a German State until the war was over.
  • Signing of the Non-Aggression Pact (Germany and U.S.S.R.)

    Germany and the Soviet Union signed an agreement to not attack eachother. Nazi Germany soon broke this by invading the Soviet Union.
  • Blitzkrieg attack on Poland

    German forces attack and try to take over Poland. Around the middle of September, Pollish forces were defeat which gave Germany a huge advantage.

    It was an air compain where German planes attacked British planes. The German Air Force was unable to defeat the Royal Air Force to be the supurior country of the skies.
  • Lend-Lease Act

    The Unites States shipped supplies to there allies. The supplies were items like oil and food. Becaue of this, allied powers let american troops stay on their bases.
  • Bombing of Pearl Harbor

    Japanese fighter planes attacked and bombed Pearl Harbor. Many Americans lost their lives and America declared war on Japan within 24 hours of the attack.
  • Transition of the US home front to War production

    After the Bobing of Pearl Harbor, United States citizens were very upset.Because so many Men Enlisted to join the army, the women had to take the plaace of men and there jobs. This was the end of the Great Depressiong.
  • Battle of Midway

    Japanese forces attacked Ameerican forces. They did this hoping they would have another successful victory like the one they had at Pearl Harbor. The wanted to gain control of the pacific ocean. Japanese forces were defeated.
  • Invasion of Africa by Eisenhower

    Eisenhower and his troops along with the British army attack Nazi troops in Africa. The soon get a victory by defeating them.

    Thid battle was when Nazi Germany, including there allies, fought the Soviet Union for control of Stalingrad. Garmany soon captured Stalingrad.

    It was liberated by soviet troops. This was one of the first consentration camps liberated by allied force.

    German forces were going through heavy forsets of Belgium to get to a lost port called Antwerp to try to racapture it. American and German troops suffured many casualties, and it was an American victory.

    American troops tried captured the island of Iwo Jima from Japan. This was an American victory.

    Allied forces wanted to use the island of Okinawa for air oprations. This victory over japan was a success for the allied forces.

    This day celebrated the victory of the allied powers. It is the day that Nazi forces surrendereded.
  • Bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki

    Allied forces attacked Hiroshima and Nagasaki with Atomic Bombs. This attack resulted in a Allied victory.
  • V-J Day

    This was the day Japan surrendered to the allied powers. This ended the war with Japan.
