  • Attack on Pearl Harbor

    The attack on Pearl Harbor was a surprise bombing of a naval base in Hawaii. This was when the US joined the war.

    The Bataan Death March was where around 78000 American and Filipino soldiers were forced to walk around 65-66 miles to Camp O'Donnel. This took about two weeks, and conditions were terrible. Only around 54,000 soldiers survived the march, and many more died in the camp.

    This battle took place in the sea and the sky between the Allies and Japan. This was a big win for the Allies.

    This battle was a devastating one because the Japanese were willing to fight to the last man standing. It was a victory for America, but it was costly.

    This battle ended in a win for America because the Japanese ran out of men and supplies. Many Japanese civilians were also killed in this battle.
  • Bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki

    The bombing was devastating for Japan, as it killed tens of thousands of people. This is one of the biggest reasons for Japan's surrender from the war.
  • Surrender of Japan

    Japan officially surrendered from the war August 15th, 1945. This was right after the bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
