  • Mussolini Becomes Prime Minister

    During this time of vulnerability Mussolini abuses the weakness of the Italians and makes his way to Prime Minister. He takes position in 1922
  • Stalin comes to power

    founded in 1922. When Lenin died in 1924 Joseph Stalin took power.
  • Hitler becomes Chancellor of Germany

    Hitler entered the government and eliminated his competition and took over Germany
  • Holocaust

    2/3 of the 9 million Jews were killed by Hitler during WWII.
  • Invasion of Poland

    Hitler continued pushing the boundaries of the treaty.
  • Lend- Lease

    During the WWII the lend lease act was passed to provide aid to the military.
  • War production board

    The WPB changed the focus of industries from peacetime work to war needs, and eliminated nonessential production.
  • Pearl Harbor

    When Japan was trying to conquer the Philippines the United States cut the supply of oil to Japan.
  • America Declares war on Japan

    After the attack on Pearl Harbor FDR gives a speech "a day that will live in infamy."
  • Executive Order 9066

    This order declare certain areas as military zones sending Japanese Americans, German Americans, and Italian-Americans to concentration camps in the United States.
  • Operation Torch

    The British American invasion of North Africa during the campaign of WWII.
  • D-Day

    Great Britain and America invaded Northern France by means of beach landings.
  • Iwo JIma

    Iwo jima was Americas first strike on Japans homeland. After one month of fighting America ended victorious raising their flag.
  • Battle of Okinana

    Over 287,000 American soldiers were involved and this was on of the biggest battlers in the Pacific.
  • Atomic bombs dropped in Hiroshima and Nagasaki

    The U.S. dropped nuclear weapons on Japan during the final stage of WWII.
  • End of WWII

    In 1945 the allies invaded the Japanese land and the axis powers surrendered.
