    Germans over ran most of Europe and was victorious for more than 2 years, they relied on the tactic called "Blitzkrieg" which meant lightning war. With this tactic they were able to take over most of Europe.

    This was when the British put up defenses against the large scale attacks from the German Air Force. This impacted history because the British needed to defend and attack the Germans because they were trying to conquer all of the world.

    This was a surprise attack on the Americans at their naval base from the Japanese Air Force. The Japanese wanted to do this because they wanted to destroy naval units so they could Southeast Asia. This impacted history because the Japanese were successful and they killed a lot of American ships and people.

    This was a Naval battle against the Japanese. The Americans got a decisive victory against against the Japanese. This impacted history because this was considered a turning point in the war.
  • Bataan Death March

    This was when the Filipino and American soldiers were forced by the Japanese military to walk 65 miles. They did this because the general knew he had to do something with the large amount of prisoners he had. So he made them walk miles to a prison. This made an impact because thousands of people died on the way to the prison.

    This was when the Allied forces went into Italy to invade them. They did this because they wanted to stop the early stages of the Italian campaign of WW2. This made an impact on the world because they were able to stop the Italians plans and if they didn't try and do anything about it they would've been successful.

    This was when the German military blew up the ghettos and they began deporting the Jews to the concentration camps. So the Jews wanted to fight back against the military and many of the Jews died but they wanted to cause damage on the enemy. This made an impact because they wanted to fight back against the Germans, which led to a huge revolt the Jews made.

    This was a landing operation of the allied invasion of Normandy. This was suppose to destroy transportation links and disrupt the German Army. This was the largest seaborne invasion in history.

    The Germans launched the deadliest and most desperate battle of the war in the west in the poorly roaded, rugged, heavily forested Ardennes. They fought the German advance at St.-Vith, Elsenborn Ridge, Houffalize and, later, Bastogne, which was defended by the 101st Airborne Division. The inexperienced U.S. 106th Division was nearly annihilated, but even in defeat helped buy time for Brigadier General Bruce C. Clarke’s brilliant defense of St.-Vith.

    The Battle of Iwo Jima was a major battle in which the United States Marine Corps landed on and eventually captured the island of Iwo Jima from the Imperial Japanese Army during World War II. They did this because they wanted to capture the entire island. This made an impact because they could then use that territory in the war.

    This was when they announced that they won over the Japanese. People in the United States would celebrate over this. This made an impact because they didn't have to lose any more live to the Japanese army.

    This was the declaration that surrendered all the armed forces of the Japanese. This made everything easier for the United States because they didn't have to really worry about war anymore and they didn't have to lose anymore people. This made an impact because so many more Americans were relieved because they weren't scared of losing their lives anymore.

    This was when the allied forces came to save the thousands of people tortured and killed in the concentration camps. They came to save them because they were being treated terribly and they were killing them off so the allies wanted to stop this. This impacted the world today because they were able to save so many people that would've died if they didn't try and save them.

    This was the day that they celebrated whenever they got Nazi Germany to surrender to the allies. This happened because Germany was losing a lot of soldiers and they were losing control of their territories. This made an impact because it means that the world doesn't have to worry about Nazi Germany and Hitler anymore.

    They dropped a five-ton bomb over the Japanese city Hiroshima. They did this because they wanted to end the war between them quickly they also wanted to demonstrate the weapon to the Soviet Union. This ended by a lot of Japanese people dying and a lot of radiation in the city of Hiroshima.
