    Part of Czechoslovakia that was given up to Germany to avoid a war. This was the first attempt to avoid world war 2.

    The Japanese attacked Pearl Harbor on a Sunday when we were expecting a shipment of planes. The attack pulled the US into the war.

    This was a navel battle between the Japanese and the US. The US navy eliminated the Japanese ability the carry out large scale carrier attacks.

    FDR signed the Executive Order 9906, putting all Japanese Americans in camps so that Japan couldn't spy on the US. 117,000 people were effected by the order.

    The battle between Germany and the Soviet Union is one of the largest, longest and bloodiest battles in warfare. There were almost 2 million people killed or injured.

    A labatory in New Mexico that created and tested the atomic bomb. It was made to create nuclear weapons during WW2.

    this is the day that allied forces stormed the beaches of Normandy to gain access to Europe. more than 156,000 allied troops made it through D-Day, but about 4,000 troops didn't make it.

  • Meeting at Yalta

    a meeting to discus the post war world plans as Germany surrenders to everyone. They discussed the division on the country and how they would be ran.

    The Soviet Union was the first to go in to Berlin and take over. After the gun fire stopped Soviet Union soldiers said that the silence that fallowed was deafening.

    Adolf Hitler committed suicide by shooting himself before he could be captured. he was in his bunker 55ft below Berlin when the city fell.

    This meeting was the last meeting of World War 2. They talked about Germany's economy, land distribution, and punishment.

    This was the first city that the US dropped an atomic bomb on to end the war with Japan. Japan still wouldn't surrender after losing an entire city.
