On July 7th 1937, a little Japanese force was near the Marco Polo bridge, and wanted entry to the town and told the Chines Guards they were looking for one of there soldiers , then somebody fires a shot and both sides start fighting. It happened because they wouldn't let the Japanese force in the town. The effects of this even would be that the Chines and Japanese wont get along very well and that they lost men for know reason this could of been avoidable.
