    The Holocaust can be described as the mass murder of certain races. The main race that was murdered was of Jewish ethnisity. The Holocaust was under the control of Hitler, a German dictator. This mass murder went on for several year.

    This is an agreement between the European Powers. This let Germany occupy certain places where people of German desent lived. This ended up failing because of Hitler and his thirst for power. It was known as a peace agreement for a short period of time until it failed.

    This was basically a peace treaty between the USSR and Germany. This meant that they could not attack each other and were now friendly with each other and could actually help each other out.

    The Battle of Britian was fought between the German and the British. This battle was the one of the first battle that Hitler lost. The purpose of this battle was to fight in all airforce and and battle with the use of bombs.

    This helped to president gain control in the decisions of WW2. The President was now able to share with the other countries. This helped them get more involved. This helped FDR overcome his enemies. The US was now fully involved.

    Operation barbarossa was the attack on the Soviet Union by the Germans. This was one of the largest invasions and it was made by the Axis Powers. This was a German victory and the USSR was defeated.

    The attack on Pearl Harbor was a surprise attack on the US by Japan. The US had restricted the Japanese for a long time and the Japanese had finally gotten sick and tired of it. The US had planned to make peace with Japan and were in the midst of making peace when this attack took place.

    This happened after the attack on Pearl Harbor and the Battle of Coral Sea. This was a US victory over Japan. This was in response to the attack on the US by Japan, known as Pearl Harbor.

    This battle was a Soviet victory. The battle pushed away the Gerams and helped the soviets gain control of thier city. This was known as one a the greatest battles for the Allied Powers against the Axis Powers.

    The Bombing of Hiroshima/Nagasaki
    The Bombing of Hiroshima/Nagasaki was when the US dropped atombic bombs down on Japan. Once the bombs went off the destroy anything and everything that was near it. some peoples shadows were left on the ground because of how hot the bomb made everything. Most people died and if they didnt right away they did later on.

    D Day is the day tha the Allies invaded Normandy. This marked the end for Germany. This was also known as "Operation Overload."

    This battle was partly caused by the Americans need for a naval base near Japan. The Japanese had a good front but the Americans managed to defeat them. When the Japnese were defeated the Americans raised the US flag.

    The Battle of Okinawa was also known as Operation Iceberg. This was a victory for the Allies. Ushijima was forced to retreat and later committed suicide.

    V-J day was known as the Victory of Japan. This is similar to V-E day ( Victory of Europe ). This was the day that the Japanes surrrender to the AMericans.
  • Warsaw Pact

    Warsaw Pact
    This was signed to keep peace between Albania, Bulgaria, Czechoslovokia, East Germany, Hungary, Poland, Romania, and the USSR. If any of these decided to disobey the pact them they would no longer be safe from attack of the others. This helped keep everything in tact and kept the peace between these groups.
