    The Japanese invaded Manchuria immediately following the Mukden incident. The army of Japan invaded Manchuria in China and eventually the Japanese army had almost all dontrol over Manchuria. Thousands of chinese soldiers and civilians had been killed.

    On this day, japanese planes attacked and bombed the US Naval base at Pearl Harbor in Hawaii. This bombing killed more than 2300 people and this forced the United States' to jump into the war. They were a neutral country before this.

    The internment of Japanese Anericans was the relocation of people who were American citizens but of Japanese descent. It forced over 100,000 Japanese who lived on the Pacific Coast to go to camps near the center of the United States.

    In the turning point of WW2, the Japanese sent a task force including 4 aircraft carriers to invade Midway island. This island was defended by an American task force which was made up of 3 carriers. The US defeated the Japanese by sinking 4 of their carriers.

    This bombing was involved with the atomic bombing of Japan. The bombing killed an estimated 40,000 people. This eventually forced Japan to retreat and surrender from the War.
