A symbol that represents this worldview would be Socrates. Socrates was a philosopher during this worldview. He shaped many people's beliefs, and through that, became quite influential. His ways of thinking were new and sometimes controversial. (All this information is from my study guide!)
-
The symbol that would represent this worldview would be the cross. This is because during this time period, religion and churches were heavily valued. As seen later during the crusades. Faith became more important than reason. (All this information is from my study guide!)
-
The symbol that would represent this worldview would be a phoenix. This is because the phoenix represents 're-birth' and Renaissance comes from the French word for re-birth. This is because during this time, many ideas and beliefs were changed, almost like a 're-birth'. (I got all of this information from my study guide!)
-
A symbol to represent this worldview would be a chamberstick. When I hear enlightenment, I think of someone revealing something. In the same way, during this era, people relied on science over religion. They wanted to learn things, not just hear from other people. They wanted to experience it. (All this information is from my study guide!)
-
A symbol that would represent this worldview would be a girl swinging on a swing. This is because this era was all about living life to its fullest, with no regrets, (swinging and not looking back). So, I think that a girl swinging on a swing represents this, also the overall fairytale-like feel of the era. (All this information is from my study guide!)
-
The symbol for this worldview would be a factory because it represents many people moving to larger cities for jobs. It also shows the changes during this time. As more and more factories popped up, so did the people, while agriculture went down. (All this information is from my study guide!)
-
The symbol for the modern worldview would be a beaker because science advanced a lot. People began questioning things and wondering why they had to believe things by word of mouth. They looked for answers, not just from religion, but through science. (All this information is from my study guide!)
-
The symbol for this worldview would be broken chains. This is because people believed there were 'no rules.' Religion is no longer valued as much as it used to be. And they focused more on advances in technology. This can be symbolized by broken chains, as if they broke away from the Modern worldview. (All this information is from my study guide!)
-
The symbol that represents this worldview would be a phone. This is because technology has advanced by a landslide, and now, jobs are over screens, too. This can make it easier for people, but also put people out of jobs (if their job was in person, but now you can do it online). We also go back to having some rules. (All this information is from my study guide!) Also, it wouldn't let me leave the end date blank.
