    Euthanasia Program
    A secret order signed by Hitler. This allowed all children under the age of 5 to be killed if they showed any signs of disabilities. Those disabilities could of been both mental and physical. Adults and teens were then added to the program due to the success and expansion. Hitler want to cleanse the race by making a productive race without any issues in their society. In this program about 200,000 people were euthanized.

    Germany created spaces where Jews would not be allowed. This consisted of schools, theatres, hospital and the Jews would need to identify themselves. Jews would be required to wear badges with the Star of David for identification.

    Germany and Russia agreed to split Poland but later Germany invaded. They were first to take action. Russia finally met the retreating Polish Army two weeks later. Poland was lost. Hitler was unusual with his need for killing undesirables and others such as Jews, in Poland.

    Women in the War
    During the war ost men were off fighting so their were plenty of job openings. Women were encouraged to help their men by working on factories, they were still expected to look pretty and make all the meals when their men returned. Rosie the riveter was created to show that women are tough and can some of the same jobs as men. Women made up over half of the workers in factories. Women were also accepted in the military, only for non compact assignments.

    The Tuskegee Flyers were the first group of all African American fighter pilots in World War Two. There were no African American pilots until they tried to join the airforce and were successful. They were even better than white men. They were the first group in history to never lose a pilot during bombing plane transportation.

    American factories were ordered to start making war goods. Sometimes business would need to make completely different products than they usually did. Drives were organized for anything that could be used in war. This consisted of metal scraps, food, clothing, weapons etc.

    This was Germany’s second attempt to take over Russia. They were severely affected by the cold winters in Russia and lost. Germany was very undersupplied and unprepared. Russia was the main reason why Germany lost the war. The battle went on too long and Russia’s civilians were willing to fight Germany in the battle.     During the war everyone had jobs and money, but they had nothing to buy. Everything was being produced for war. People bought war bonds. War bonds were an arrangement were you would give money to the government and at the end of the war they would give you your money back plus extra. Everyone also had rations. You would be given a certain amount of coupons for certain foods and supplies. If you need a particular item you had to have a coupon for it.

    Japan’s goal was to disable America so they were able to take over China. They attacked Pearl Harbor in Hawaii with fighter jets. 2,403 Americans were killed and 180 U.S. aircrafts were sunk. 18 U.S. naval bases were also sunk and destroyed. The day after President Franklin D. Roosevelt requested congress to declare war on Japan. This is where America finally took part in the war.

Hitler tried his best to avoid conflict with America but had no choice to join Italy in order to defend their ally, Japan.     Navajo Code Talkers were men hired by the Marines to transfer messages in an unbreakable code. In previous wars America would use codes that were broken by enemies. Navajo was a language that was not taught to Germans in schools. Navajo Code Talkers had remember the code in their head. Hundreds of Navajos were used as code talkers.

    A meeting that was made up of fifteen Nazi officials discuss the “Jewish Question”. This was regarding what would happen to Jews. They talked about the immigration of Jews, but agreed it was too expensive. They came up with the “Final Solution.” The “Final Solution” was death camps but they never actually said “Death Camps” because they wanted to cover it up. They didn’t want people to know about it

    After the attack on Pearl Harbor America was afraid of the Japanese and heard rumors about enemy spies living in America. FDR decided to transport all Japanese Americans to Internment camps.     American prisoners of Japan were forced to march. They were given 5-12 days to march 60-80 miles. If they lagged behind they would be killed and all civilians trying to give the prisoners food and water would be killed as well. Not only did they have to march a long way they were given to water or food. If they had to go to the bathroom they had to walk and go because they would be shot if they stopped at all.     During the Executive Order of 9066, a man named Fred Korematsu testified against discrimination based off of one’s race, especially during a national crisis. He was going up against the entire U.S. government and lost due to his little power. This case is never spoken of in court trials due to the fact that the case was not valid and the U.S. was going against the constitution.

This was very impressive especially because it happened in the matter of months. Only 100,000 Jewish refugees were allowed in 1933-1941.
