    Hitler made it clear when he became leader that the Germans were a "master race" made to rule over slva and Gypsies and others. Hitlers main idea of racism was anti-Seminitsm, or hatred of Jews.

    Benito Mussolini apointed prime minister of Italy
    Benito Mussolini promised to restore order by strong leadership. He and his followers threatened to overthrow Italys goverment, in response the king elected him prime minister. Mussolini made Italy into the world's first Fascist state. Which means a political system based on miltarism, extreme nationalism and blind loyalty to the state and its leader. Mussolini eneded freedom of press and banned all political parties except his own.

    Stalin turned the Soviet Union into a totalitarian state.. He would order the poor to give up crops,land,and animals to goverment run farms. People that were against Soviets were killed or imprisoned on charges of disloyalty to the state.

    Britian came to help the French but it was not enough. The Gremans had forced them to retreat. British sent every available ship and boat to rescue the soliders. About six weeks later Hitler accepted the surrender of France.

Hitler oradered attack on Britian and raided the cites but Britian took it day even though they lost tens of thousands of lifes they kept fighting and taking it by day and finallly Hitler abandoned all plans to invade.

    The Alantic Charter was an outline for after the war ow they would like everything to be, thats what Churchill and FDR created. They agreed that no one would gain territory. They also included letting the people choose there goverment. If this succeeded this organization would replace the Leauge of Nations.

    The Hawaiin island of Oahu was attacked on December 7th 1941 by the Japanease by naval air, and ground forces by the harbor. The attack destroyed nearly half of the military aircraft on the island including battle ships too. around 2,400 Americans were killed.

    U.S didnt like the fact Japanese were invading the French. Presidant Roosevelt then decide to stop exports of iorn and steel scrap to Japan. He also restricted the sail of oil to Japan. Because the Japanease faced a shortage in fuel then they planed to attak the United States.

    Hitler had broken his pact with Stalin.The Soviet Union now joined Britian in fighting the Germans. Even though Churchill and Stalin distrusted eachother a ton they were more determined to defeat the common enemy together.

    Japanese bombed airfields in the Philippines after Pearl Harbor, they destroyed most of the airplanes and such that could protect the island from the attack. Douglas MacArthur commanded a Filipino- American force. They held a strong defense. Soon the Japanese there surrenedered April 9th

They went to the Japanese Americans and would question them because there were thought they could be apart of spies or the attack. Later they were moved to camps pretty muc like pisons only able to take the things they could carry. They had to work at the camps and were treated terribly

    American and british troops took control of the italian island and fought on until the new goverment surrendered to the Allies. Even thought they did so the Gremans kept on fighting they would strugleis they thought they would actually be able to control Italy.

    As jobs increased in the U.S Mexican Americans came to clam those jobs. When they would get jobs as these they would dress up for work in suit called Zoot Suits. Later on they started getting jumped on the street and such if they were wearing a zoot suit. Those were then called zzot suit riots.

    Allies enetered Pairs and were no longer under contol of th Nazi French men and women and children were thrilled and able to greet there liberators with joy.

    Germans counteracted in Belgium. Hitler put all his power into his last attack. BAd weather grounded aircraft. This helped the German troops create a bulge. German troops did run out of crtical supplies and the American forces won the Battle of the Bulge.

    MacArthur had stuck to his promise and did return to the Philippines. The capaign though cost the lives of over 14,00 Americans and 350,00 Japanese and around 100,00 Filipino people.
