    An attempt to capture Ukraine from the Soviets led by Poland.An attempt to free Ukraine that wasn't successful. Led to the Peace of Riga. Ukraine stayed as part of Soviet Union and Poland earned nothing.

    In an attempt to create a pure German country many minority groups were slaughtered. Whether Holocaust, mass graves, or starvation millions of minorities died due to genocide. Gays, Jews, Romanies and people with disabilities were some of the groups that were slaughtered.

    Meant as a way for victory it is a brutal military attack. Used by Japan in Pearl Harbor throughout the war by both sides. The primary way of battle used.

    A period of rape and mass murder that happened during the Second Sino-Japanese war. Done by the Japanese to citizens of Nanjing which were the capital of China at the time. It went on till January 1938.

    A Treaty signed by foreign ministers for the Soviet Union and Germany confirming neutrality between the two countries. It included a clause on how to split Poland. The treaty was broken by Germany and was the beginning of Germany's downfall.

    While the men were at war woman did the work behind the scenes. They worked at Factories ran food drives and volunteered at hospitals. Women were doing all of the work back home and supported the family which was originally the man's job.

    A surprise attack was done by the Japanese on an American Navy base in Hawaii. The attack got the Americans involved in World War II. Over 2,400 People died in the attacks. War was declared on Japan the day after by America.

    Marine corps captured Iwo Jima from Japan. The battle ended in March. Known as Operation Detachment it was to create an opening to the main Islands.
