  • Invasion of Sudetenlands

    What: In 1938, Hitler ordered men to create trouble in Sudetenland, therefore making the outside world think that the Czech government was incapable of maintaining order in its own state. Hitler used this choas as an excuse to move his army into Sudetenlands to restore law and order.

    Who: The invasion included the Czechoslovakian government as well as Germany

  • Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact

    Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact
    What happened: The Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact was a treaty of non aggression that meant neither country would ally with or aid the enemy of the other (Soviet Union would not help Britain/France).
    Where: The Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact was signed in Moscow by both a German and Soviet foreign minister.
    Who was involved: The treaty was signed by two of the major powers during WWII, The Soviet Union and Germany.
    Impact of Event: The treaty caused Germany and Russia to enter WWII as allies.

    What: The Germanforces continued thir advance into France. The French saw that Germany was getting the other hand. They had come to a conclusion to evacuate the army from Dunkirk so that they would not have to fight another day.
