Battle of Britten
August 1940 - October 1940 over Great Britain's airspace Germany attacks Great Britain targeting airfields but switches to bombing. Hitler believes he can break British morals after months of bombing he fails to take over Great Britain. This gives other countries hope that the Germans aren't the strongest country around. -
Opperation Barbarosa
June 22, 1941 Germany attacked the western side of Russia. Hitler was afraid the Russians would expand towards central Europe also wanted to all of Russia's west and oilfields. And Germany withdrew and the German occupied countries realize there still was hope. -
Pearl Harbor
December 7, 1941 Japan bombed the US military/naval base in Pearl Harbor (Oahu, Hawaii). 2400 US people die, 2 US ships sunk, and multiple planes and ships destroyed. Japan was upset that the US stopped trade with Japan and froze money assets of Japan in the US. Because of this the USA joined World War II by declaring war on Japan. -
Bataan Death March
April 9, 1942 Japan forces US and if he prisoners of war to March 80 miles without food or water. Japanese people do this in the Philippines because they needed to transport US and Philippine prisoners of war. Because of this thousands of people died. -
Operation Overland
On June 6, 1944 Britten, America, Canada, and France attacked Germany in Normandy, France. Britten wanted to stop Germany from expanding and the Allies also wanted to take over Germany. The Allies won and it was the turning point of World War Two. -
Yalta Confrince
February 14 through February 11, 1940 Franklin Roosevelt, Wiston Churchill, Joseph Stallin, USA, United Kingdom, and the Soviet Union had a confeince to discuss the resolution of World War II. In Livadia palace, near Yalta Russia agrees to join the United Nations and fight Japan but also demands take over Poland. -
Battle of Iwo Jima
On February 19-26 of March, 1945 USA Bob Japan and captured two islands from the Iwo Jima. USA attacked Japan in the Pacific Ocean to gain a foothold so they could attack the main islands of Japan. USA won. It was the first American attack on Japan territory. -
V-E Day
May 8, 1945 Germany surrendered and allies had one world war two. This was a day when everyone was partying(Mostly in Europe[Except the Axis]). This was the end of World War II -
Dropping of the attomic bomb
On 6 August 1945 USA dropped a bomb on Hiroshima. On 9 August 1945 USA dropped a second bomb this time on Nagasaki. Both of the atomic bombs were used because Japan was not back down from World War II. After both bombs were dropped Japan surrendered which started the end of World War two. -
Battle of Buldge
On December 16, 1945 through January 25, 1945 Jeremy broke through the lines of USA, Belgium, France, and, Luxenberg's. In that Andrea's forest in Belgium it was Germanys final attempt drive the Allies out of the mainland of Europe. It was the largest battle fought by the USA and USA won.
