Operation Dynamo
Why Dunkirk: At 1940 the German attention was France with the help of the British Expeditionary Force. They constructed a wall of troops at the border. But the German advance was so quick that the French and the British Force was pushed back to Dunkirk and their only escape route was the Channel. At that time the British government had a plan named "Operation Dynamo". The plan was to evacuate the troops by any available British ship. As well of the Royal Navy and any rowing boot was used. -

The North African Campaign
Germany allied with Italy started to attack from Libya Egypt allied with British forces. The reason for the attack was to get later to the important oil resources from Arabia. The Germans were leaded by Erwin Rommel also noun as the "Wüstenfuchs". He is famous for his sneak attack and he uses all the strengh of his tanks. Germany took almost whole north Africa over. But Germany had problems with the reinforcement, as soon the USA arrived retreated Germany and they lost North Africa . -

The Battle of Britain
Germany wanted to attack the airfields and destroy all the RAF bombers. So that the German navy could cross the Channel without beeing shoot from the sky. Britain realized to attack the German bombers not the fighters. Germany were loosing more planes than the British. The British produced only fighters to shoot down the planes.On the 7. September Germany changed their tactic and started bombing London, rather than the airfields. In Autumm the weather grew worse and the invasion was called off -
Operation Barbarossa
The new planning aimed at a racist destruction war to the destruction of the „Jewish Bolshevism“: The whole European part of the Soviet Union should be murdered conquered, her political and military executives and large parts of the civilian population be decimated and be deprived of rights. With the hunger plan to which the siege of Leningrad belonged the death from starvation of many millions of prisoners of war and civilians was included. -

Pearl Habor
The Japanese aircraft attacked Pearl Habour, an American naval base in Hawai. It was 7:55 a.am and the USA men were still sleeeping or haveing breakfast, when the Japanese attacked. At the end the USA lost 18 warships, 177 planes, 2300 men were dead and the Japanese lost only 29 planes. -
D-Day
Most of Europe had been a German fortress and the only way the alied forces could win was to get their armies back into Europe, but Germany made an Atlantic wall so it was impossible to get on land by ships. Britain had a plan they built up faked armies and sent them where the German thought they where and sent their real army another way. They also dropped 200000 tons of bombs. -
The dropping of the atomic bombs
The first atomic bomb was used and destroyed everything what was in the way, about 70000 people died and 78000 buildings were destroyed. Three days later the USA dropped another one on Nagasaki and about 36000 people died. On the 14. of August the second World War was over.
