The Mycenaean civilization create the first city-states. City-states are parts of a community but are individually independent with their own culture, traditions, etc. -

Nobles control small parts ancient Greece (the individual city-states) instead of a dictator. -

Julius Caesar becomes dictator of Rome. His son, Augustus Caesar, would later hand Jesus over to the Jews to be crucified. -

Jesus Christ is born in Bethlehem by the virgin, Mary. His ultimate father is God the Father, whom He has constant communication with through prayer. -

This was a period in which people began to focus more on humanism rather than religious tradtions and ratictes. Art and music were focused on, as well as advancing technology. The printing press was major invention, and made books and reading accessible to everyone, poor and rich. -

The Protestant Reformation
The Protestant Reformation was a protest to reform the Catholic Church. Martin Luther was a major figure during this and protested against many things like the sale of indulgences (you can buy your way into Heaven), monotonous ceremonies, and lack of spiritual desire from the Pope.
