William Golding was born september 19th in 1911 in Newquay, United Kingdom -
he attended school at his father's school at the age of 12 -
he attended Marlborough Royal Free Grammar School at the age of 12 -
he wrote many plays, essays, reviews, several short stories, and poems. -
he became a teacher at Bishop Wordsworth's School, Salisbury. for 1935 until 1937 -
he joined the Royal Navy after teaching to protect his country. -
he started a family in 1939 with two kids and a wife -
he started writing after the war and wrote many different books -
he got his first award in 1980 for the books he wrote -
he died at the age of 81 at his house in Perranarworthal, United Kingdom
