When William was a kid he loved to swim at the beach. When he got older he went to his father's school. At the school he attempted to write his first novel but it failed. He described himself as mean, and he loved to pick on others. -
After WIlliam graduated high school he headed off to Brasenose College at Oxford University for English literature. That's when he published his first book of poetry. -
William left teaching to temporarily join the Navy. The next six years he was still fighting. -
William decided to follow his dad's footsteps so he became an English and photography teacher. -
William published his most popular book on September 17th, 1954. -
William Golding died from heart failure.
