I chose this image to emphasize how the Kaiser was kicked from his position of power with short notice, akin to how someone being fired might not know they are being removed from their position until shortly before. -

I chose this image because Groener ensured military loyalty to Ebert, symbolized by the soldiers saluting. -
Armistice ending WWI
I chose this image to illustrate that this armistice was the peace (shown by the handshake) between heavily militarized Germany (represented by the leader of North Korea) and the allies. -
Spartacist Revolt
I chose this image (an actual image of the Spartacist Revolt) in order to highlight the scale of the discontent with the Weimar government. This many people were willing to support communism, a system which the Germans already saw fail in Russia, showing the magnitude to which the Germans wanted change. -

I chose this image to highlight how the formation of a new socialist state in Bavaria parallels what happened with Lenin's Russia (formation of a socialist state due to revolts against the old government). -

I chose this image to show how many Germans believed that they were forced into the harsh terms of the Treaty of Versailles because Jewish people (represented by the man with the knife) betrayed the Germans (shown by the man in combat on the left) in WWI. -

I chose this image because the best representation of the new Weimar government and constitution is the flag which they decided to use to represent their new government. -

The photo relates because the treaty allowed cooperation and protection in times of troubles. As such both countries were protected like a shield. -

The photo relates because Germany's entrance into the League showed their cooperation and certain level of friendliness, as shown by the picture. -

The image relates because much like the pie, the Grand Coalition was made of many parties, and this in turn created more stability. Furthermore the complete nature of the pie shows that the Grand Coalition lasted much longer and thus was a more complete government. -

The image relates because the Young Plan had given Germany more time to pay the reparations with better conditions too. -
Beginning of the Great Depression
The image relates because of how the Great Depression affected Germany. Germany, who was relying on American loans, suddenly had their support dropped from under them leading to the toppling of German economy much like the Jenga tower. -
Von Papen's deal with hitler
The image relates because Hitler and Papen's deal was a mutual deal for Hitler to become chancellor and Papen to become a vice chancellor. They would help each other. -
Hitler Becomes Chancellor
The image relates because Hitler became a chancellor and contrary to Hindenburg and Papen's goals did not become a "chancellor in chains" but broke the control on him.
