1866 Civil Rights Act of 1866 grants citizenship, but not the right to vote, to all native-born Americans.This was a major leap forward in giving blacks more agency and freedom as people. Still times were hard on blacks and many were still slaves. -

In 1869, congress passes the fifteenth amendment giving african american men the right to vote. Women were still not allowwed to vote at this time. The fifteenth amendment showed the blacks the light at the end of the tunnel as things kept getting better. -

in 1920 the ninteeth amandment was made witch allows every single united states citicen to vote not juging on sex. Women had as much write to voting as did men. Acheiving this great milestone wasnt easy, it took long protests and agitation that finaly won it over. -

Throughout hystory there have been many changes concerning voting. Manny of which involve blacks and women. For a long time only white men were allowed to vote. Seems weird comming from a time where both blacks and women can vote.
