The Sopwith Pup, was the first WW1 plan emade by England, and was a twin vicker, single seater. It had a topspeed of 111mph, which was considerably high compared to it's rivals.
-
One of the most well known planes, the Camel was invented by Tommy Sopwith. It had twin Vickers guns, as well as an aluminium pate, to give it protection and had less density, making it lighter, and hence, fly faster.
-
Tommy Sopwith later joined with his mate hARRY Hawker, to replace Sopwith.
-
The Hawker has arrived! Created by Sydney Camm, the best WW1 plane yet. It was the fastest plane ever created, and had quadruple vickers, double than any other plane before.
-
Again invented by Sydney Camm, the typhoon was the fastest plane made yet. IThe only difference from the Hawker in terms of guns, was it had rockets placed under each wings, which were very effective.
-
The fastest Hawker, yet, in 1951, it was used by all airforces around the world, and broke the world speed record. It had 150 rounds of ammunition.
-
Took off vertically as it used wind as energy to thrust it up, not sideways. It was varrying guns as well as 1000 pounds heavy of bombs! It was 1700mph fast, the fasetst vehicle ever, compared to the Sopwith's 111mph.
