    Was a series of four acts based by the British government. This was to assert its authority over the colonies
  • Boston Massacre

    Boston Massacre
    5 people were killed. This is important because it got more people to dislike the British
  • Boston Tea Party

    Boston Tea Party
    The colonists dumped a lot of tea in the bay. This showed that they would not excepted taxis with out a say in them.
  • Intolerable Acts

    They were imposed do to the Boston Tea Party. This act justified the first meeting of the constitutional congress later in 1774

    Happened because of the intolerable acts. There was 56 delegates at the meeting

    Nathan infiltrated the British on Long Island to gather information. Before his death, Hale is thought to have said, “I only regret that I have but one life to lose for my country,”

    After loosing New York City Washington posed a daring plan to do a sneak attack. This kept the struggle for independence alive.
  • Burgoyne Surrenders at Saratoga

    Burgoyne Surrenders at Saratoga
    His forces depleted, Burgoyne surrendered at Saratoga. This was a major turning point of the war.
