Around this time Tomochichi started his tribe of the Yamacraw Indians. It was made up of an assortment of particular Yamasee and Creek Indians.(#OF PEOPLE APX.200) Their location was near the Savannah river. -
Negotiation between Oglethorpe and Tomochichi
When the Englishmen arrived in the New World a meeting was set to discuss fair transaction between the natives that inhabited the area. Mary Musgrove helped as an Interpreter between the Yamacraw chief Tomochichi and English settler James Oglethorpe. -

Tomochichi's assistance proved to be very helpful to Oglethorpe and the rest of the English settlement.a year later Oglethorpe along with Tomochichi and a small group of lower Creeks went to England. -
