    The French and Indian War was part of the seven years war where Britain and France disputed over land around the Ohio river and was wanting to claim it, for trade purposes. The Indians sided with the French due to their good relations. Britain won the war and the land. Since Britain spent a large amount of money on the war they hold the thirteen colonies responsible and that leads to lots of taxing.

    This was the treaty between France and Britain ending the French and Indian War, and France gave up all the midland territory in America.
  • Proclamation of 1763

    Proclamation of 1763
    A line of claiming territory east of appalachians declared by Britain's King George III. This was due to the end of the Seven Year War.

    One of the first taxes put on the colonies by Britain with more to come. The Stamp act taxed any paper products being imported. Many colonists began an uproar, and the phrase taxation without representation was born. This tax is significant due to it's factor in leading to the American Revolution.

    A group of rebellious colonists called the sons of liberty, raided a british ship with tea and threw millions of dollars worth of tea into the Boston Harbour. This furiated the british and punishments were in play.

(Quartering Act), The Boston harbour and ports got closed. (Boston Port Act), Took power from Massachusetts colony and gave it to the governor which was chosen by Britain, (Massachusetts Government Act), Gave power to Governor to move trials to Britain,(administration act).     Common Sense was a pamphlet made by Thomas Paine encouraging colonists that The colonies need to go to war and that The British are unfair, and need to be stopped. Many colonists read this pamphlet and it helped turn the tide of the war, because the colonies army was made of the people, so if the people were determined to gain freedom then their might be more militia.

    The battle of Trenton was a small but important battle taken place in New Jersey. George Washington's army's have been dwindled, and winter was coming. Britain were waiting them out the winter. So George made a plan to attack Trenton and take their supplies to boost morale of the colonists.

Many Americans and French troops were working together and Lead by George Washington, and Some French Military Leaders. They pushed back the british to a small peninsula and won the battle. This was a factor to ending the American Revolution.
