Rocket scientist Robert H. Goddard launched the first liquid fueled rocket from Auburn, Massachusetts in a farm. The small rocket reached an altitude of 41 feet and the speed of 60 miles per hour and though the rocket only lasted 2.5 seconds it paved a way for the U.S. Rocket Program.
