    Ove's end

    Ove is the heart of the community. Four years later Parvaneh wakes up with a strong need to visit Ove and when she goes she sees him dead looking peaceful with his cat. His Funeral was attended by hundreds. Parvaneh comes up with "Sonja's fund." A new couple comes over to look at Ove's house and Parvenah interrogates them on their car of choice.

    Ove's death

    Chapter 38 - 39 - Ove get an iPad for Pat Pavs daughter who calls him granddad. Ove then goes on a walk with his cat and on that walk he sees something shady and interrupts and turns out it was a shady gang who then beats up Ove. Parvaneh finds him and accompanies him to the hospital. At the hospital we learn that Ove listed her as next of kin and that he has a heart condition which causes his heart to be too big. He's home four days later and Parvaneh goes into labor and has a boy.

    Ove's heroism

    Chapter 15 - Ove goes to the train station in an attempt to end his life again but ends up saving a man who passed out and fell onto the track. This chapter is another example of Ove stopping his plan in order to help or save another person in need.

    Ove's Second Attempt

    Chapter 11 - Ove tries to kill himself again but this time by inhaling exhaust smoke from his car he gets stopped by his neighbor knocking on the door asking for a ride to the hospital because her husband fell off the ladder and Ove stops and thinks of what his wife would have wanted him to do so he decides to drive the neighbor to the hospital. This is significance because it shows the impact that Ove's wife has on him even after she passed.

    The house Ove Built

    Chapter 10 - Ove was sent letter from the council that were sent with the intention of getting him to either sell his house but Ove choose to learn how to build a house at the construction job he picked up and started fixing his own home. Ove awoke one day to the smell of smoke and realized the neighbors house was burning Ove had the choice of saving the child in the house or save his own home he choose to save the child which shows that Ove is just a man who is misunderstood.

    Ove's Silent pain

    Chapter 9 - The rope didn't work it snapped on Ove. Ove went Ove to help his neighbor with the radiator rune who was once Ove's friends is now in wheelchair with no clue as to what going on around him. This is a significant aspect in the book because it shows that Ove isn't someone who talks about his pain he is too stubborn and would rather keep his pain to himself all bottled up.

    Ove's attempt

    Chapter 7 - Ove has prepared his house for what happens after his death though when he is preparing his neighbors show up since they need to borrow a ladder. While they are there another neighbor shows up to ask Ove if he will look at the radiators in her home. This shows that Ove is someone they all go to when they need help though after they lave Ove drills a hole in the wall and attaches a rope in an attempt to take his life.

    Ove's wife

    Chapter 4 - Ove brings his wife flowers and talks to her. He gets into it with a Mercedes driver and during the battle to a good parking spot Ove accidently saves a spot for the family that moved in next door. After arguing with the florist. He finds himself standing over his late wife's grave who passed away six months ago. His wife passing away plays a significate role in why he became such a bitter man.

    Ove makes his neighborhood Inspection

    Chapter 2 - Ove goes on his morning walk to check if everything is in order. He was let go from his job the day before since his employer wanted to retire the older generation. Which Ove wasn't happy with since he believe everyone should work hard no matter what. This part of the story reiterates his dislike for change and new thing which for him relaxing and slowing down is new.

    Chapter 1 - Ove is introduced as a grumpy old man who is struggling with change in the world around him. This shows us his dislike for change and his strict sense of order.
