    Thomas Kuhn was a philosopher who wrote "The structures of Scientific Revolutions" which had major impacts on our understanding of Scientific Revolutions, and also the philosophy of science. In his book he explained the process of Normal science being interrupted by revolutionary science, and during this, the discovery of anomalies leading to new paradigms. The term paradigm shift was coined by Thomas to explain a shift or a fundamental change in approach to our understanding of a topic.
