    The Soviet Union blocked the Democracies' (Western allies) transportation routes to parts in Berlin that were in Western control. In respose to this, the Western allies sent aircrafts that dropped small packages of food and supplies to the blocked Berlin sectors.

    The North Atlantic Treaty Organization was formed as a neutral defense organization to prevent such events that led to WWII. It was to be a pact where if there was an attack to any of the countries in this organization, that country has allies to aid in their defense.

Later the Gulf of Tonkin incident was resolved, revoking that original support.

Although the U.S. and anti-communist South Vietnam "won" the war, the actions displayed between the leader of the South Vietnam police force and a Vietcong man reflected poorly on the U.S.

    The Equal Rights Amendment would provide for the legal equality of the sexes and to prohibit discrimination on the basis of sex. This was heavily pushed by women and feminists until in 1972, the Equal Rights Amendment was passed by Congress, having been sent to the states for retification. As it is important for freedom rights in education and human equality, this ensures more equal rights among men and women.
