In 1812, Napoleon attempted an Invasion of Russia. Piling up INSANE amounts of men, then invading them in the hot summer heat. Once he reached Moscow, Russian forces burnt the city. Once Napoleon tries getting out, it was already winter, Russian forces battling them while they were suffering. Napoleon abandoned his men again. -
After the Invasion of Russia, in 1813, the War of the Sixth Coalition began. -
After the year' long conflict, Napoleon finally lost to the Coalition, driving him to be exiled to Elba. -
After the loss in the SIxth Coalition, Napoleon was sent off to Elba. Allowed to keep the name Emperor of Elba.
