2 Samuel 5: 4-5 -
It has lots of pure gold. It also has 3 types of wood ( olivewood, Cypress, Cedar). It also had stone and Costly stone. It had bronze and silver also. The holy of Holies was a perfect square that was 20 cubits. Solomon dedicates the temple to God and taught the people the law. After that a cloud descends to the temple and the spirit is in the temple. Then God sends fire to come down and light the fire in the altar. Then Solomon sacrifices 22,000 oxen and 120,000 sheep.

Was part of the Fanition empire. He gave Solomon lots of materials to help build the temple. He was a friend of David when he was the King. He was also Solomons ally. -
Solomon was a king. One night he had a dream.
God said, “Ask me for anything.” Solomon did not ask for gold or power. He asked for wisdom to help his people. God was happy. God gave him wisdom and also riches. -
Solomon's First wife from Egypt doesn't want to live in Jerusalem so he builds her a separate palace outside of Jerusalem. He loved loved lots of other women from other nations and he was told not to marry them. He had 700 wives that were princesses and 300 concubines. They turned away his heart from God and he started worshiping Asthoreth and Milcom. -

She wanted to test Solomon to see how wise he was. She brought lots of gifts and asked him her questions and he answered them all. Then she blessed them and went away with everything she asked for. -
The people didnt like that Rehoboam raised the taxes and disciplined the people with scorpions instead of whips and they stoned the tax collector and Rehoboam ran away. Jeroboam became king. -
After Solomon died, his son Rehoboam was too harsh, so ten tribes left him and followed Jeroboam. They split Israel in the north and Judah in the south. -
Jeroboam made two golden calves in Bethel and Dan, and the people worshiped them—turning away from God and falling into sin. -
He was King for 18 years. He made the people's work very harsh. Shishak, king of Egypt fought against him. He took the golden sheilds He built a bunch of cities and has Judah, Levi, Benjamin. He listened to young advisors instead of old ones. His son is Asa

Nadab the son of Jeroboam began to reign over Israel in the second year of Asa king of Judah
He reigned over Israel for two years.
He did what was evil in the sight of the Lord and walked in the way of his father, and in his sin which he made Israel to sin. He was a bad King. -
Jehu the son of Hanani prophesied that he would get destroyed. He got defeated by God because he was bad ,Elah his son reigned in his place, He slept with his fathers and was buried at Tirzah. He killed Nadab the son of Jeroboam and wipes them out. He worships the bad idols. Zimri kills all of his family. He kills Nadab.

He has a large army. Zerah the Ethiopian came out against them with an army of a million men and 300 chariots. Asa cried out to God and prayed for help and God helped defeat the Ethiopians and Asa's army got lots of stuff. -
In the 15th year of his reign he sacrificed 700 oxen and 7,000 sheep. If anybody does not worship God they will die. His Grandmother (Maacah) built Asherah gods and Asa had to kill her. -
In the twenty-sixth year of Asa king of Judah, Elah the son of Baasha began to reign over Israel in Tirzah, he reigned two years, Zimri came in and struck him down and killed him when he was drunk. He gets killed by Zimri.

In the twenty-seventh year of Asa king of Judah, Zimri reigned seven days in Tirzah, Omri crowned himself. Zimri burned the temple down because he was surrounded. -
Half of the people followed Tibni the son of Ginath, to make him king, and half followed Omri, So Tibni died, and Omri became king, He killed Zimri

Judah paid syria to fight against the Israelites. Then he took down a wall that Israel had to keep the people in the city and from going into Judah. He uses the materials to build forts and cities. God says that because Asa used syria then he would have war for the rest of his life. He through the messenger from God in jail. He gets sick in his feet for the last two years of his reign. -
He reigned in Judah. He is a good King.
Placed forces in the city. There was no war around him. He build castles in the city of Judah. He had 180,000 mighty men of valor. -
He prophesies that there would be a drought on the nation on Israel for 3 years. God tells him to get water from the Brook Cherith, he would get food from the ravens. The brook dries up. He is supposed to go to zarephath. There is a widow woman who will care for him. She gets infinite flour and oil until the end of the drought because she did what Elijah said. Her son dies. Elijah prays over the boy and God brings him back to life. -
In the thirty-eighth year of Asa king of Judah, Ahab the son of Omri began to reign over Israel, Ahab the son of Omri reigned over Israel in Samaria twenty-two years, Ahab the son of Omri did evil in the sight of the Lord, more than all who were before him. He dies in a battle by a random arrow. He was disguised as a common soldier.

He is sick and he asks God if he is going to live or die. He sends for Isaiah and Isaiah says that he is going to die. Then Hezekiah prays to God and he doesn't want to die. God tells Isaiah to go back and tell Hezekiah that he will get and extra 15 years. -
Obadiah was over the household. He took a hundred prophets and put them in a cave. He fed them with bread and water. Elijah told Obadiah to go to Ahab and tell him that he is there. Elijah said that Ahab did not obey God. Ahab gathered the prophets at Mount Carmel. Elijah asked if they follow God or Baal. They have an alter battle, (450 Baal prophets). God lights Elijah's alter which had been drenched in water. There is fire from heaven burns up everything at the alter and the alter. -
He travels to Mt. Horeb the Mt. of God. He sleeps in a cave and the word of the Lord came to him. Then there is a tornado, an earthquake, and a fire and God wasn't there. Then there was a small still voice and it was God. Elijah tells God that he wants to die. He is supposed to anoint Elisha, and and Jehu the son of Nimshi you shall anoint to be king over Israel, and Hazael to be king over Syria. He makes Elisha his servant. -
Queen Jezebel wants to kill him and she said that if she doesn't kill Elijah in 24 hours that she would die. Then Elijah went into the wilderness a days journey. An angel visits him and he gets special food. He doesn't have to eat or sleep for 40 days and nights. -
Ben-Hadad is the king of Syria. He wants all the gold, Silver, Wives, and Children. Ahab gives it. Then he wants more and Ahab doesn't give it. They go to battle and Ahab wins. The syrians are chased out. Ben-Hadad attacks him in the valleys. God tells Ahab that he will win against Ben-Hadad. He does and they capture Ben-Hadad. Ben-Hadad gets trapped in a city, they mourn and Ahab lets him go. A prophet prophesies that Ahab will get killed in a battle because he spared Ben-Hadad. -
Naboth had a vineyard. King Ahab wanted it. Naboth said no. Because it is his family's vineyard. Queen Jezebel made lies to the leader of the city. Naboth was stoned and killed. God sent Elijah to say Ahab would be punished because of what he did. -
Makiah says that if Ahab goes to battle with Syria then he would die. Ahab puts him in the dungeon. Jehoshaphat and Ahab switch clothes and in the battle he gets hit from a random battle. Then the prostitutes bathed in his blood. -
He is a bad king. He gets prophesied to die from Elijah.

Goes to war against Moab. Because they rebelled. Ahaziah fell through the lattice in his upper chamber in Samaria, and lay sick. Elijah prophesied that Ahaziah would die because he went to Baal-zebub to get help. Then Elijah rejected 102 men and they died from fire from heaven. Then more men came and the angel of the lord said that it was ok so Elijah came down and he talks to them and Prophesied that Ahaziah would die. He did die. -
Jehoshaphat faced attack from the Moabites, Ammonites, and Edom. Afraid, he sought the Lord and called a fast across Judah. As he prayed with the people, God’s Spirit came upon Jahaziel, who declared that the battle belonged to God and victory would come the next day. The people then worshiped and praised the Lord loudly. -
In the fifth year of Joram the son of Ahab, Jehoram the son of Jehoshaphat, king of Judah, began to reign. He was bad and married Ahab's daughter Athaliah. He fights against the Edomites and he dies.

Elijah just went into the fiery chariot and He comes back to Jericho. Then he gets a test from the people of the town to prove that he is a prophet. He gets salt and puts it in the water supply that the people said was bad and it gets better. -
Elijah and Elisha are walking and Elijah knows that he is going to heaven that day. Elijah asks Elisha to stay here so that he can go down to Bethel. He says he will stay with him until he dies. Then they went to Bethel. Elisha won't leave Elijah. They are past Jericho and They go across the Jordan River and Elisha splits the water and they walk across on dry ground. Elisha asks for double the power of Elijah. Elisha cried, “My father, my father! The chariots of Israel and its horsemen!” -
The army wants water. Elisha prophesied that a valley will get filled up with water. The army gets water. Moab comes down and they think that the valley is filled with blood because the israelites and Judah were fighting but it was just because of the sunrise. The Moabites come down to collect the spoil and Judah and the Israelites beat them.

There is an intense famine. They eat bird dung. A woman makes an agreement with her friend to kill her son today to eat him and the next day to kill her friends son to eat him. They kill the one woman's son and ate him. The next day the other lady hid her son. Elisha says that the next day there will be an overabundance of food. But the General wouldn't get to have it. The Syrians heard a sound from God and thought it was the Israelites. They fled their town. There was food. The General died. -
They have Elisha at their rich house for a meal and he comes back because he likes the food. They make a room for him. He is very grateful and he says that the barren couple will have a child in one year. The boy is working in the field and his head hurts. He dies and he gets healed and brought back to life from Elisha and the mother praises God. -
Her husband dies and a famine comes upon the land and left. She went to the Philistines for 7 years. She wants her land when she is back. She gets back and there is somebody talking about the miracles of Elisha. She tells the king about the miracle he did for her son when he got raised back to life. The king gives her land back and all the profit from the past 7 years. -
Murders Ben-hadad. Elisha Anoints him. -
There is a spy. The Syrians figure out that Elisha knows everything. They come with their whole army to kill him at night. Elisha's Servant wakes up early and he goes out. He comes and warns Elisha. Elisha prays to God and says it will be fine. The Lord's army surrounds them. Elisha asks if God can make them all blind. They are all blind and Elisha leads them into Samaria and they are captives. Elisha feeds them and lets them go. They never fight with Israel again. -
Jezebel is waiting for Jehu. Jehu comes and throws her out the window and drove the chariot over her. They go to eat and when they come back out to bury her all that is left is her skull, palms, and her feet. -
Naaman gets leopressy. He is the head of the army. Elisha tells him to wash in the Jordan river and he did. He was healed. Ghazai was bad and misused 2 pieces of silver for himself. He got leprosy from Naman. -
He is a bad King. He went into battle with King Joram against the Syrians and Joram got wounded. Ahaziah goes to see him because he was sick. -
Jehu wants the city where Ahab's 70 sons are to pick their best man so he can fight them. They surrender and Jehu asks for the 70 sons of Ahab to make sure that they are truly surrendered. They send them in baskets and Jehu puts them in a pile for everyone to see. -
Jehu is crowned king and he declares that he will worship Baal more then Ahab and Jezebel. He calls all of them who are worshiping Baal and they come. They celebrate it like a holiday. Jehu has his guards surround the temple and kill all of the people who are in the temple who are worshiping the fake god. -
Elijah is supposed to anoint him but Jonah, one of the sons of the prophets anoint him. He is married to Jezebel. He Travels to Samaria. The army is rebelling against Ahab's Rule. Jehu goes to Israel and Jehoram comes out to meet him and Jehu is mad because of Jezebels idols. He kills Jehoram with a bow. He kills Ahaziah. He takes over Israel. He is the best king that Israel had but is still a bad king that worshiped the golden calves.

She kills all of Jehoram's son except Ahaziah. Ahaziah went out with Jehoram and his brothers sons died. Jehu kills Ahaziah. There was nobody left. She destroyed all of the royal house of the house of Judah because she was a worshiper of Baal.

They anoint Joash when the Priests switch duties. They say "Long live the King" Queen Athaliah comes down and says "Treason" they take her out and kill her. -
Jehoiada is his mentor. He rebuilds the temple of God with the donations from a chest outside of the temple. Jehoiada dies and Joash goes bad against God. Joash kills Zech in the temple where it is not supposed to happen.

He built a foreign altar in Jerusalem and changed the temple worship to copy Assyrian practices.

They celebrate the passover like never before. He brought a bunch of offerings himself and the people brought some too. The number of the burnt offerings that the assembly brought was 70 bulls, 100 rams, and 200 lambs, the consecrated offerings were 600 bulls and 3,000 sheep. There was about 23,000 offerings. -
They defeat the Israelites and the only city left is Jerusalem. Hezekiah offers them a bunch of money to leave. They take the money but don't leave. The Assyrians send a letter that is supposed to make them scared. The Israelites win because of Hezekiah's faith in God. The Angel of the Lord comes and kills 185,000 of the good guys on the other side. Then Sennacherib king of Assyria got killed by his own sons when he came home to worship to his fake gods. -
God asks if he wants the sun to go backwards or forwards and he says he wants it to go backwards. The sun goes backwards and the Babylon's come to investigate. Then he gets prideful and takes the glory of God. He also takes them into the temple. He is punished for it and dies later. -
Manasseh was twelve years old when he began to reign. He was a bad king. He rebuilt the high places that Hezekiah had destroyed. And he built altars for all the host of heaven in the two courts of the house of the Lord. And he burned his son as an offering. He put Asherah in the house of the Lord. Manasseh led them astray to do more evil than the nations had done whom God destroyed before the people of Israel. He got captured by the Assyrians and then repents to God and God forgives him.

Amon was twenty-two years old when he began to reign. He was a bad king. He abandoned the Lord. And the servants of Amon conspired against him and put the king to death in his house. But the people of the land struck down all those who had conspired against King Amon, and he is killed. They make Josiah his son king.

He is a good king. He did not turn aside to the right or to the left. He destroys a lot of idols. He reads the book of the law to everybody. He does a krazy passover. Pharoah goes to war with the Assyrians and asks if he can go through Josiah's land. He fights against Pharaoh and he gets shot by the archers and dies because he wasn't supposed to fight Pharaoh.

In the 8th year of his reign he dedicates his life to God. He destroyed all of the bad idols and altars in Jerusalem, Judah, and Israel. He made dust of them and scattered it over the graves of those who had sacrificed to them. After 10 years of doing this he goes back to Jerusalem. They restore the house of God and make it nice. -
Hilkiah the priest found the Book of the Law of the Lord given through Moses. He gave it to Josiah and Josiah tears his clothes. They take the law to Huldah and she says that the people will get punished but not in his reign. Then he calls the entire nation together and reads the entire book of the law to the people. He says that he is going to make a covenant to God so that God might have mercy on them. -
Then Josiah contributed to the lay people, as Passover offerings 30,000, and 3,000 bulls. And his officials contributed willingly to the people, to the priests, and to the Levites 2,600 Passover lambs and 300 bulls. The people gave Passover offerings 5,000 lambs and young goats and 500 bulls. There is so much blood that Jerusalem gets washed in the blood of the sacrificed animals. It was the best Passover that was kept ever in the nation. -
Jehoiakim was twenty-five years old when he began to reign, and he reigned eleven years in Jerusalem. He was a bad king. Against him came up Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon and bound him in chains to take him to Babylon. Nebuchadnezzar also carried part of the vessels of the house of the Lord to Babylon and put them in his palace in Babylon.

He is a bad king. Jehoahaz was twenty-three years old when he began to reign, and he reigned three months in Jerusalem. Then the king of Egypt deposed him in Jerusalem and laid on the land a tribute of a hundred talents of silver and a talent[a] of gold. And the king of Egypt made Eliakim his brother king over Judah and Jerusalem, and changed his name to Jehoiakim. But Neco took Jehoahaz his brother and carried him to Egypt.

Zedekiah was twenty-one years old when he began to reign, and he reigned eleven years in Jerusalem. He was a bad king. He did not humble himself before Jeremiah the prophet, who spoke from the mouth of the Lord. He also rebelled against King Nebuchadnezzar, who had made him swear by God. He stiffened his neck and hardened his heart against turning to the Lord, the God of Israel. All the officers of the priests and the people likewise were exceedingly unfaithful.

Jehoiachin was eighteen years old when he became king, and he reigned three months and ten days in Jerusalem. He was a bad king. In the spring of the year King Nebuchadnezzar sent and brought him to Babylon, with the precious vessels of the house of the Lord, and made his brother Zedekiah king over Judah and Jerusalem.

Now when all the captains and their men heard that the king of Babylon had appointed Gedaliah governor, they came with their men to Gedaliah at Mizpah, namely, Ishmael the son of Nethaniah, and Johanan the son of Kareah, and Seraiah. And Gedaliah swore to them and their men, saying, “Do not be afraid because of the Chaldean officials. Live in the land and serve the king of Babylon, and it shall be well with you. Then they took him and killed him. Jehoiachin repents.
