The war was in Czechoslovakia on 5 January 1968.
The reason was that the Warsaw Pact's invasion of Czechoslovakia in 1968 was motivated by the Soviet Union's desire to maintain control over the socialist bloc, prevent the spread of liberalising reforms and preserve its strategic influence in Central Europe. USSR fought against Czechoslovakia and in the end Czechoslovakia lost and the Soviet Union won.
