The National Constituent Assembly was formed on 1789 by the representatives of the 3rd Estate. It was created because of the discontent with the advantages that have the 1st and 2nd Estate. Some events are Formal Opening of the Estates General, Tennis Court Oath, etc. The assembly marked a change from the power of the monarchy to the commoners, also ended feudal priviledges.

On 4 may 1789 the last important ceremony of the Ancien Régime was being held in Versailles in which they will talk about the procession of the Estates General. Around 1200 diputies (mostly commoners) went to the ceremony. Louis XVI started the session but his speech seemed that is was not adressing the economic crisis, making that the commoners went discontent. This was the event that started the French Revolution and the change of power from the 1st and 2nd Estate to the commoners (3rd Estate) -
The Tennis Court Oath happened 20 May 1789. The representatives of the 3rd Estate were locked out of the meeting, so they went to a tennis court and promised to not leave until they have created a constitution for France. This oath showed that they were an union and thank the same, the power should be with the people, not only the king. It helped to start the revolution, and helped to give the idea that France can be also a Republic. -
The Storming of the Bastille happened on July 14 1789, it marked an important event for the French Revolution. It was caused because the people were angry with the king Louis XVI and feared that he would use the army against the people. Parisians attacked the Bastille a prison were there were weapons to get them. It helped to the desire freedom. This helped for the idea to end of the monarchy and it insipered other revolutions, the 14 of July is a national Holiday in France. -
The August Decrees were passed in France in August 1789. They were a set of laws that there goal was to end feudalism and the priviledges of the nobility. After the National Assembly they listened to people demands and decided to quit feudal right and that only the commoners should pay taxes, also they established common rights for everybody. This helped to create a more fair society and to say loud the ideas of liberty and equality. -
The Declaration of the Rights of Man and the Citizen was established in France on August 26 1789. This important documents says the rights and freedoms of everybody, it says that all men are free and have equal right, also it says things about liberty, property, security and resistance to oppresion. It says the importance of popular sovereignty, that means that the government should represents the will of the people. This document laid the foundation of modern human rights. -
The Legislative Assembly was a very important part of the French Revolution, it was established in october 1791. It replaced the national assembly and its work was to create laws. The members that were elected were not experienced politicians, it created important laws like the property rights and laws for the economy. Did not maintain the order and was dissolved in 1792 because of the tensions, helped to the rise of the National Convention. It helped to shape the future of France.

The Flight to Varennes ocurred on June 20-21 1791, then King Louis XVI tried to escape from Paris during the French Revolution with his family, they tried to reach the roalist stronghold in Varennes to try to regain the power, but they were recognized and stopped by the people, this act damaged the kings reputation and quit the trust of the people of the king. It helped to aument the tensions with the monarchy and te revolutionaries, leading to more people thinking to change France to a republic -
The National Convention was established in France on september 1792. It replaced the legislative assembly and its goal was to create a new government. It declared France a Republic and quit the monarchy. Its fame is because of the radical changes like the trial and execution of King Louis XVI. It also had challenges with the internal conflicts and wars with other countries. It established the declaration of the rights of man and the citizen, and helped to shape modern France.

The Assembly declared war on Austria on april 20 1792, it was a important moment in French revolutionary wars. The decision was made because of the fear that Austria and other monarchies would intervene to quit the French republic and restore the monarchy. However the first battles were difficult for France because of the disorganisation of its army. It was caused because of the anger of the people to King Louis XVI and the monarchy, because the people thank that he could regain the power . It was the end of the monarchy in France and established a revolutionary government. -
The Execution of Louis XVI took place on 21 january 1793 and it was a very important event for the French Revolution. Louis XVI was accussed of treason because he tried to escape France and restore its power, his trial began on december 1792 where hi defender himself but he got a hard judgement, and on 21 january 1793 he was executed in the guillotine. This marked the end of absolut monarchy in France, and made the republicanism very strong. This event helped to revolutionary movements on Europe -
The Execution of Maximilien Robespierre took place on 28 july 1794, as a figure of the reign of terror, Robersierre tried to eliminate the enemies of the revolution and this spread fear. On july 27 he was arrested by the members of the National Convention who feared that they would be the next ones. The next day he was executed without any trial, this execution ended the radical phase of the revolution and the revolution and the government went more moderate. -
The French Directory was established in 1795, it was a government that followed the national convention and helped the rise of Napoleon. There were five directors who had executive power and their goal was to stabilize France after the chaos done by the revolution. It also had challenges like the inner corruption, economic difficulties and some military conflicts, but it achieved its goal to was to restore the order. In 1799 it was quit by Napoleon that he changed it by the consulate.

The Battle of Trafalgar took place on 21 december 1805. The britsh navy faced against the combinated fleets of France and Spain, putting apart that they were less, the british navy did innovative tactives and they won by the orders of Horatio Nelson. This battle quit to Napoleon the thoughts of getting the british territory. Nelson was killed in this battle but he was made a national hero. -
The Battle of Austerlitz took Place on 2 december 1805. This is the best battle of Napoleon that is also known as the Battle of the Three Emperors in this war they fouth the French forces agaist the Russian and Austrian forces that they did a coalition. Napoleon won the battle easily and gained a lot of territory for France, and because of this battle Napoleon gained the reputation that he was a military genious. -
The Battle of Leipzig took place between the 16 and 19 october 1813. It was one of the biggest in the Napoleonic wars, there fought over 600000 soldiers.It is also known by the name of Battle of Nations, it involved French forces against Russian, Prussian, Austrian and Swedish coalition forces. The coalition tried to quit europe of the rule of Napoleon, and they did its goal, and Napoleon retreat from germany because of this lose. -
The Battle of Waterloo took place on 18 june 1815. Napoleon faced another coalition between Duke of Wellington and Prussian Field Marshal Gebhard Leberecht von Blücher. The battle was in Waterloo and in present-day of Belgium, Napoleon started winning but he was devastatd by the coalition forces. This battle did the ending of Napoleonic rule and reshaped the politics of Europe.
