I came into the world surrounded by love, and from that moment on, my life has been full of adventures, laughter, and learning. My family welcomed me with so much happiness, and my journey was just getting started.

    All my childhood, I was raised by my loving mom on a peaceful farm in Cimitarra, Santander. Surrounded by cows, chickens, dogs, and so many other animals, every day was an adventure. I learned to appreciate the little things — the sound of the birds in the morning, the fresh smell of the earth, and the love that only a mother and nature can give.

    In 2014, I graduated from preschool. I was a very good student and a kind girl. I still remember that day with so much joy — I was really happy because my dad came to the ceremony. I hadn’t seen him in many months, so having him there made the moment even more special. I felt proud, loved, and excited for everything that was coming.

    In January 2018, my parents separated. Without a doubt, it was something that affected me deeply. It also caused my relationship with my biological dad to become strained and distant. Even though it was a hard time, I learned important lessons about strength and hope.

    In November 2018, my mom introduced me to Enrique, who is now like my dad. From the moment I met him, he showed me kindness and love as if I were his own daughter. His support and care made me feel safe and happy, and I’m grateful to have him in my life.

    In 2018, I graduated with good grades and was one of the top students in my class. It was a proud moment for me and my family, showing all the hard work and dedication I put into my studies. This achievement motivated me to keep aiming high and never give up on my dreams.

    At the end of 2019, my mom decided to move to Barrancabermeja because there were no job opportunities in our town. Without a doubt, it was a decision that changed my life completely. Moving to a new place brought many challenges, but also new hopes and opportunities for our family.

    In 2020, my mom became pregnant. She was very excited, and so was I, it was my dream to have a little brother or sister. I felt happy thinking about the new member who would join our family and the love we would share.

    The most important day of my life was June 17th, 2021, because my little brother was born. That child became my life, my joy, my reason to smile, and the greatest treasure I have. Since he arrived, everything changed — he brought love, unity, and so much tenderness to our family.

    In 2022, I started my own small business. Even though many people, including close friends, judged me and said hurtful things, I kept going with faith and determination. That same business, the one many didn’t believe in, is what now allows me to support myself and help out financially at home. It has been a tough journey, but full of lessons and pride.

    In 2024, I turned 15 years old, a very special age for me. It was a beautiful moment, full of joy, love, and people I care about deeply. Without a doubt, I enjoyed it in an unforgettable way, and every little detail, smile, and hug from that day stayed in my heart as one of the most beautiful memories of my life.

    In 2024, I decided to run as the representative of the ninth grades, and to my surprise, I was chosen by my classmates! I couldn’t believe it — I was very excited and proud that they trusted me with that responsibility. It was an unforgettable experience where I learned to listen, speak up for others, collaborate, and grow as a person. I felt truly happy to represent my class and give my best.

    That same year, 2024, thanks to my good behavior and strong academic performance, my school gave me the great opportunity to represent it with some classmates at an event at the Universidad Cooperativa de Colombia, where we competed against other schools. It was a wonderful experience, full of learning, nerves, excitement, and teamwork. We won second place, and even though we didn’t get first, I felt proud and happy about what we achieved.

    That same year, 2024, I started working on my project as student representative, which was organizing the graduation for the ninth grades. I worked hard to make sure everything turned out well and was worth it. Everything went as I had hoped, and it was such a special and meaningful event. Seeing my classmates happy, grateful, and enjoying their ceremony was an amazing feeling for me. Without a doubt, it was one of the best moments of my school life.

    In 2025, I met new people who make me really happy, bringing joy and great moments into my life. But I’m also still friends with Cami and Sol, two girls who have been with me for many years. Our friendship has been strong, real, and full of love. I love them with all my heart, and I know they’ll always be there for me, just like I’ll be there for them.

    On April 1st, 2025, I turned 16 years old and had an unforgettable party. Many of my friends came — we danced, laughed, ate delicious food, and enjoyed every moment. I was surrounded by people I truly care about, and it was a day full of joy, hugs, and good vibes. Definitely one of the best birthdays I’ve ever had.

    On June 3rd, 2025, my friend was murdered — a young guy I truly loved and cared about. His passing was unexpected, unfair, and incredibly painful. I still find it hard to believe, because he was someone full of light, happiness, and dreams. I remember him every single day, with the same affection and with that sadness only someone so special can leave behind.

    A Year Full of Pain

    As if it wasn’t enough, on June 20th, 2025, my uncle was in a tragic car accident and sadly was crushed by a truck. This loss was devastating for my whole family and for me. It’s still hard to believe… we miss him deeply. His absence is felt every day — in every gathering, in every silence. He was a joyful, hardworking man, and so special to all of us.
