Dalton: Solid Sphere Model
The first atomic model that was developed by John Dalton. Solid spheres made from wood that represent the state of an atom. -
Thompson: The Plum Pudding Model
The pudding model of the atom was made in 1904 by JJ Thompson. The concept behind the creation was the theory that a positively charged atom was embedded with negative charges and remained entirely neutral. -
Rutherford: The Nuclear Model
A nuclear model was made by Ernest Rutherford which described the atom as a positively charged core. The study showed the atom as mostly empty space with a positively charged nucleus. -
Bohr: The Bohr (Planetary) Model
Described as a planetary system in which electrons orbit the nucleus. Which creates fixed energy. -
Schrodinger: Quantum Mechanics Model
As an extension to Bohr's model, Schrodinger used his theory to create mathematical equations on electrons. Proposed in 1926.
