The Invasion of Poland is also known as the 1939 Defensive war. It nearly marked the beginning of World War 2. This simply is when the Germans invaded Poland to begin war. This war lasted from September 1st till October 6th of 1939. The result of the war is the Germans and Soviet Union’s victory. This was very importent! -
The Battle of Britain
The Battle of Britain nearly took place around autumn/ fall of the year 1940. This was approximately during the month of July. It lasted till October 31st of the same year. The battle of Britain is the name given to the Second World War. The main objective and purpose behind this battle was to gain supreme air superiority from the Royal Air Forces. Eventually Britain gained victory from the Germans in this war… This was very tragic from all the deaths occoured. -
Invasion of the Soviet Union
On June 22nd 1941... nearly four million troops poured over the Russian Boarder. From this result about 2 million Russian troops were killed a month and captured after a month in a half after this event had started.. This event is also known as Battle of Stalingrad in 1941 and 1942. -
Japan Attack's Pearl Harbor
On December 7th 1941 Japan attacks Pearl Harbor... This attack was know as a suprise attack on Pearl Harbor, United States by the Jappaneese Navy. The result of this war/ attack was Japans victory until soon enough the United States declared war on Japan. -
D-Day
D-Day was the first day of Invasion of Normandy... This event (D-Day) took place on Tuesday 6th June 1944. This war on France wasn't much of it's result, because surprisingly the Allies won victory. -
Hiroshima and Nagasaki
After World War in Europe ended Japan still fought... The Enola Gay dropped a atomic bomb on Hiroshima, Japan on Aug 6th 1945 sadly killing around 78 to 79,000 people. Even injuring over 100,000. Another bomb was dropped on Aug 9th 1945 in Nagaski, Japan killing another 50 to 60,000 people!
