    On August 23 1821 Mexico gain independence from Spain.

    In 1824 Santa Anna created the law of 1824 and the texans liked the new law, but later the texans would be betray them.
  • Fredonian Rebellion

    Fredonian Rebellion

    Haden and Benjamin Edwards declare the Republic of Fredonia independent in 1826. Mexico did take back the land really quickly.
  • Mier y Teran Report

    Mier y Teran Report

    In 1832 Manuel Mier y Teran does a popluation report on Texas and finds that Anglos outnumber Mexicans 10 to 1. In the end it will result in the law of April 6, 1830.

    Law of April 6, 1830

    After geting the Mier y Teran Report Mexico decited to pass the law of 1030. The laws stated that all stop all immigration from the US to Texas and slaves could no longer be brought to Texas and -that taxes would be placed on all imported goods from the US.
  • Turtle Bayou Resolutions

    Turtle Bayou Resolutions

    John Davis began enforcing immigration laws that outlawed slaves to be brought into Texas. He took all of William Logan slave in the end they were arrested. This made people start to make the Turtle Bayou Resolutions.
  • Convention of 1832-1833

    Convention of 1832-1833

    Texans met in San Felipe. Stephen F. Austin led a pledge to support the countitution of 1824 and created a document that said that they wanted to restore immigration from the US and they were made about the high taxes and wanted to be there own state from Mexico.
  • Clash at Velasco

    John Austin went to bring back a canon back to Turtle Bayou. A battle started and in the end mexico surrender to lack of ammo.

    Voted against declaring independence from Mexico.

    Battle of Gonzalez

    In October 2 1835 the mexicans wanted a cannon back because they were starting to not trust the texans so they fought at the Battle of Gonzalez and Texas won.

    In febuary 1 1836 Texas formed a temporary government and made a declaration.
  • Battle of the Alamo

    Battle of the Alamo

    Febuary 22 1836 the frist canon was fired. William B. Traivi's wroght a famous letter asking for reinforsmeans but didn't get them. In the end on March 6 1836 Texas lost but none serenader.
  • The Goliad Massacer

    The Goliad Massacer

    At the Battle of Coleto Creek the texans weren't doing good so they serenader and captred. They lined up the Texans in a prairie and shot them one by one. After that they put all the bodies in a pile and burned the bodies.
  • Battle of San Jacinto

    Battle of San Jacinto

    On April 21, 1836 the battle of San Jacinto. It lasted 18 minutes and was the shortest battle in history. After Texas won they found Santa Anna and his ankle was crushed so he tried to hide and ended up taking a nap in the bushes. Texas found him later.
  • Treaty of Velasco

    Treaty of Velasco

    On May 14, 1836 the Treaty of Velasco and it officially ended the Texas revolution.
