Fredonian Rebillion was important because Haden Edward an Empresario from Mexico allowed him to bring Anglo settlers to Nacadoches. He threathened to sell the settlers, so the settlers complained to the Mexican Goverment. -
After they received the Mier y Terán Report, the Mexican Government issued the Law of April 6, 1830. This law stopped all immigration from the United States, terminated all Anglo empresario contracts, outlawed the bringing of slaves, increased tariffs on imported goods, and established military posts. US settlers strongly disagreed with this law.

The Mexican Goverment sent Mier y Teran to report on the conditions in Texas. Along Mier y Terans journey he observed Mexican influenced decreased, Anglo settlers outnumbered Tejanos, and the differences in culture language created tension. When he reached to Nacadoches he had already written the Mexican president a letter which he warned the settlers. -
American Juan Bradburn, sent the Mexican Gorverment to Anahuac to enforce the law of April 6, 1830. Meanwhile Colonel Bradburn had imprisoned William B. Travis, which led to angry Texans and Mexican troops. Texas had fled the fighting at Anahuac and went to Turtle Bayou and drafted resoutions expressing there opinions. It included to Pledge to honor the constitution of 1824, Support for Santa Ana, and Opposition to the Tyrannical centralist Goverment in Mexico. -
When Mexico was having its Civil War, Texans who were Delegates met in special meetings called conventions in 1832-1833. The delegates agreed on Texans should still be loyal to Mexico. They also wanted Mexico to allow all immigration from United States which would be canceling the law of April 6, and wanted Mexico to make Texas a seperate state from Coahuila so Texans could have there own repretesation Goverment. Stephan F. Austin at that time was sent to Mexico city to show the requests. -
When Austin Arrived at Mexico City, The Mexican Goverment was dealing with the Civil War, and epidemic. While Austin waited for the Mexican Congress to meet and discuss about the Texas proposals, he had written a letter about how Texans should set up there own State Goverement. When Austin met with Santa Ana the Mexican president agreed to US immigration, but didn't approve of the Statehood for Texas. Mexican authorities intercepted the letter, but arrested him for a year. -
The Texas Representatives met across Texas for they could discuss about a situation going on. They all voted to go agaisnt declaring independence from Mexico. -
Battle of Gonzales was the first Texas revolution battle. It started the revolution because it began when the Mexican troops did the "Come and take it" -
Sam Houston and all of his men trapped Santa Annas, when he was resting near San Jacinto. The Texans were swarming around them, and they ended up defeating them. It was the shortest battle in history since it lasted 18 minutes. -
Fannin surrender against the Coleto Creek, him and his men were marching back to La Bahia Mission in Goliad. Santa Anna had all of them exucuted like the traditional way.
