The Mexican Goverment allowed empresario Haden Edwards to bring Anglo Settlers. When he arrived there were Settlers already there. He had threaded to sell the settlers land but he was unable to provide a land title. He declared East Texas the Fredonian Republic and took over . This was the first attempt by Texas settlers -
General Mier y Teran report that he observed theatre the Mexican influence decreased northward, Anglo settlers outnumbered Tejano 10 to 1, and the diffrence in language and culture created tension between Colonists and Mexicans. He had wrote a urgent letter to the Mexican report which said the settlers in Teaxs were likely were rebeling against Mexico. -
This law included all immgration to be stopped in the US, terminated all Anglo Empresarios, contracts, outlaw bringing slaves to Teaxs, increasing tariffs from importante goods. -

American Juan Bradburn imprisoned William B Travis and others for undermining his authority resulting in a clash of angry Texans and Mexican Troops. This made Teaxns fled to fighting Anahuac to Turtle Bayo and made Resolutions. Oppositions to the tyrannical centerlist Goverment in Mexico/support for Santa Anna and other fedralists/ Pledge to honor the constitution of 1824. -
When he was waiting for Mexican Congress Austin wrote a letter to encourage Texas to start setting up their own State system. When meeting Santa Anna he agreed to the U.S immigration but didn't approved of the separate state. Mexican authorities found the letter Austin had written and he was arrested. -
The first battle was fought with citzens with a small cannon. On this cannon it had a wedding dress that said "Come and Take it". -

Santa Anna thousands arrived in San Antonio on Feb 23 of 1836 and began a 13-day siege. The Mexican Army breached an outer wall and overpowered the Texan Forces in a battle. It lasted ninety minutes. -
A letter by Willian Barret Travis was a letter for a desperate call to aid from the Texan and American public to garrison being besigned by the Mexican Army. -
After hearing the about the Alamo, Texan delegates wrote the Constitution Convention of 1836. This made political power come from people and divide the Goverment into three branches also included a bill of rights. -
The surrendering of Texan Forcces led by Colonley James Fannin to Mexican General Jose de Urrea. They were outnumbered and out of supplies. This led to over 300 Texan prisoners to be executed. -
Houston ordered Colonel James Fannin to evacuate his troops. Mexican Generel Jose de Urrea had managed to capture a Texan force of 350 men. Fanning surrendered his men but promised that they would be treated as prisoners of war and be released. Santa Anna though ordered for all prisoners to be executed. -
Sam Houston spent two weeks training 900 men before setting up camp in a wooded area neer Buffalo Bayou near the San Jacinto River. Santa Anna's army had pursuit a camp nearby that had around 1,000 soldiers. Anna's decision proved the Texa army favorable and attacked the Mexican Army that afternoon. Houston used Texas' natural landscapes when planning this attack. When attacking they yelled "Remeber the Alamo! Remember Goliad!" This lasted 18 minutes. -
The first treaty included Mexico would recognize that the war had ended and Texas was officially independent, all Mexican troops would withdraw the past the Rio Grande, lastly Santa Anna would return to Mexico. The second treaty was private that said Texians would immdediately release Santa Anna, Santa Anna would convince he Mexican goverment to recognize Texas independence, and Rio Grande as the border between Texas and Mexico.
