Diagnosed with Autism at nearly two years of age. -
Graduated from Hampshire Country School (boarding school for gifted children in Rindge, New Hampshire). -
Graduates from Franklin Pierce College with a Bachelors degree in psychology. -
Graduates from Arizona State University with a Masters degree in Animal Science. -
Created a better kosher slaughtering system called the "low stress small animal ritual slaughter system". -
Created the "stairway to heaven", called "an easier way to slaughter cows". -
Graduates from the University of Illinois with a Doctoral degree in animal science. -
Started teaching animal science at Colorado State University in Fort Collins, where she also managed Grandin Livestock Systems. -
In 2010 Grandin was honored in Time magazine’s “100 Most Influential People in the World".
