My Birth
I was born in a rural area of West Virginia. At the age of 18 I moved to Huntington, WV to attend Marshall University. Technology has been present in my life since a young age. -
Home Computer
We had a desktop computer in my house at a young age that I would play disc games on. If the internet was used, it was dial-up internet. Which means if you needed to use the phone, then the internet had to be unplugged. -
First Mobile Phone
At the age of 11, I received my first phone. It was a Motorola flip phone, I specifically remember the pink color. -
First iPad
A few years later, I was upgraded to the Apple brand and given my own iPad. I would use websites like Myspace, and Instagram to contact friends in school. FaceTime was a big part of my life at this time. -
First Iphone
My first iPhone, which contained service was the iPhone 5. This is when I really began to use and understand the levels of the internet and the access to the world. Remember Flappy Bird? -
My first Laptop
Before attending college, I bought my first laptop. Before this I used school desktop computers to complete assignments and my phone for socials. -
Today
I currently still use my MacBook computer, purchased in 2018, for school work. My iPhone has been upgraded many times and is currently an iPhone 14. My technological lifetime has been pretty dominated by Apple products. I have, however, been acquainted with VHS tapes and CDs in my younger years while visiting my grandparents. I prefer those simpler times then today's. My fiancé and I collect Blu-ray discs of all the Marvel movies and watch them in our DVD player at times.
