    Solon's reforms - Seisachtheia

    • removed all debt
    • abolished Draco's laws
    • forbade export of anything except olive oil
    • divided population into 4 classes based on wealth: Pentacosiomedimni, Knights, Zeugitae and Thetes
    • appointed Council of 400
    • anyone who was not part of a political party was no longer a citizen
    • increased standards of weights and measures of currency
